"According to the intelligence, we are expecting the exchange to happen today. Drugs, weapons and explosives are in the list", Colonel Chandra says pointing at the map. We all nod, understanding how crucial it is to catch these bastards today. If we catch them today, we will have a clue to what they are planning. These terrorists have sworn to always mess up things for our country.

"Your team will wait for a visual. Catching them alive should be your priority, we don't know what they are planning", he says. This would be my first official mission to catch these terrorists and I want it to be perfect.

"Major Singh will lead the mission and I want no carelessness. I want these bastards today", he strictly roars and all of us chant loudly, "Yes sir!"

"Dismissed", he says. We stomp our right foot as our commanding officer walks out of the office. Looking at Major Singh, we wait for further information.

"I want everyone out in five", he says, telling us that we will depart in five minutes. My colleagues instantly start making calls to their respective families, telling them that we are going on a mission. In our profession, there is no guarantee of what will happen next. I take out my mobile phone from my pocket and switch it on. Should I tell Dhairya that I am going on my first mission? But what if she starts panicking? No, I shouldn't tell her right now, I will tell her after I catch those terrorists.

"Tell her", I hear Captain Bakshi say. When I turn, I find him peeking at my mobile phone. I sigh, shaking my head.

"I don't want to scare her", I tell him. He chuckles at my misery saying, "She won't be scared, women are more headstrong than us. She should know that you are going for a mission".

"I don't know, we just started dating. I don't think it would be wise to scare her. She is very sensitive", I say, shaking my head. But my lips curl into a smile as her image replays in my mind. Last week was amazing with her, I can't sleep peacefully after our date. All I could think was her gentle touches and the kiss.

Before Captain could say anything, we hear Major Singh calling the team. Looking at each other, we rush out of the meeting room. The twenty members of our team, including myself, choose their weapons. I strap a dagger on my waist band and tuck a gun. Wearing a bullet proof jacket, we take a rifle.

"Boys, let's do it", Major chants, uplifting our aldosterone. With high energy, we board the jeeps. Loaded with weapons, we impatiently wait for our stop, that is the hiding place of the terrorists which happened to be near the thorny forests, a great place for an evacuation plan. These terrorists are smart no doubt but they don't use their smartness for something productive, always looking for opportunities to create havoc in a peaceful country like India.

Our jeeps stop before a woody area signalling that it was time. All of us waste not even a single second, to grab our weapons and head outside. With senses sharp as a hawk, our team assembles, camouflaging with the wood. Major Singh nods at me, signalling me to keep an eye on our prey. Giving him a thumbs up, I hid behind a huge rock with my gun. Peeking out, I find that the way is clear for us. With my fingers, I signal my team that the coast is clear.
