Anirudh
"By the way, how did you know when my flight was supposed to land?" Dhairya asks as I try to focus on driving instead of her. For ten minutes, she has been blabbering about random things, her parents and what she did in Shimla and all I want to do is grab her and shower her with kisses. She is so cute that I am getting restless now.
"Checked the flight details simple", I answer, trying to sound normal. Only if she knew what her voice does to me. On top of that, she decided to wear a stylish sleeveless top paired with a knee length skirt, showing off her smooth buttery arms and legs. I just want to do something that makes her shy and red.
"Oh, never thought about that", she mutters, smacking her own head. Looking at me with big curious eyes, she further asks, "Where are you posted now? I hope it's not dangerous and risky".
I sigh and shake my head. From my peripheral vision, I see her expressions morphing into horror and she exclaims, "It's something huge, isn't it? Tell me Ani, how long will you be away?"
"Honestly, I don't know. I can not divulge the information to you as it's classified but I assure you that I will regularly stay in touch. A-and in case, I forget to call you or message you, don't try looking for me", I softly say and her face falls.
I don't look at her, afraid that I will break down seeing her upset. She is mature enough to understand my duty but she cares a lot for me. I don't want to fall weak by seeing her sad.
She keeps her soft palm on mine saying, "I trust you and I know nothing will happen to you. Whatever it is, you will emerge stronger and victorious."
My lips curl into a smile hearing her bold words and I mumble, "I hope so. It's the first time that I have been given such a mission after PARA training."
With a cheeky smile, she boasts, "Why not? You are one of the bests, your expressions scream that. After my baba, I have never seen someone so intimidating like you, always serious. But I manage to make you smile and laugh. I am proud of myself and you as well".
I chuckle as she pats her shoulder, praising herself. Shaking my head, I ask, "You find me intimidating?"
She bobs her head like a toddler and chatters, "Yes, do you remember when we first met on the bus?"
I nod, the memory still afresh. How can I forget about our first meeting?
"You looked lethal when you pinned that man down on the seat. Dangerous, almost as if you were out of an action movie. You had fire in your eyes. Anyone would be scared seeing your expressions", she animatedly explains, mimicking my glare.
I burst out laughing and exclaim, "I didn't look that dangerous, you are exaggerating".
"You were", she says wryly twisting her hair with her slender fingers. I gulp as I see her soft long fingers which makes me want to bite and kiss them. I am turning carnal and it scares me to the core.
