Hiding my smile, I try to normally do push ups but obviously I can not focus. Dhairya! Only she has such an effect on me. When I saw her beautiful pictures which didn't include her of course, I couldn't help but awe at her adorable nature. She is deliberately trying to make me jealous, just like I teased her when I went to visit the Hawa Mahal last weekend.

"Kya baat hai, why are you showing your thirty two teeth today?" One of my colleagues , Vishal asks as he wipes his face with a hand towel. I roll my eyes and instead focus on my workout. Actually, coming to the gym was my worst mistake. I should have stayed in my quarters. Wherever I go, someone asks the reason for my happiness. Can't a human smile? Is it necessary that there is a girl behind that smile? Okay, it is a girl behind my smile but come on!

"Aree do you know, the quarter beside yours will finally have a resident today. Someone new is coming", he further adds and I scrunch my eyebrows. The house beside mine has been empty ever since I came here, making me wonder why they weren't assigning it to an officer yet.

I stand up and ask, "Really? That's great to be honest". He nods and says, "Yeah, and you'll get some company now".

I nod, not saying anything further. Wiping my face with my towel, I take my bag and start moving out of the gym. It was hell of a workout.

Humming a random tune, I start walking towards my quarter to get ready for the day. My hand instantly goes to my pocket and I take out my phone. Dhairya has done something to me, actually everything. I never wasted my time on the phone but nowadays, whenever I get time, I just wait for her message. It soothes my heart.

I chuckle when I see that she seriously messaged me but this was her picture this time. I click on the picture. Seeing her beautiful face makes me want to run to her and hide her in my arms. I don't want to let her go ever. In the picture, she was standing on a rooftop wearing sunglasses. With a coffee mug in her hand, she was giggling.

Below the picture, she had attached a message saying, "You sure your desert is better than these mountains?"

Shaking my head, I type, "Nope, but if you have been here, it would have been incomparable". I attach a wink emoji at the end to tease her. Smiling like a Cheshire Cat, I stuff my phone back in my pockets. I wish I could meet her. I never knew long distance would be so difficult. I also never knew that I would fall so bad for her. Her smile, it would be the end of me.

Walking happily, I reach my quarters, however I stop midway when I see a car standing in front of the quarter beside mine. Oh! So he is already here? I thought he would come in the evening. Anyway, what do I have to do with it? It's not like I will talk to him like Capt. Bakshi.

I take out my keys and unlock the door when I hear the boot door. Shaking my head, I turn my head to see who this new officer is. Judging from the car and all, it looks like he is some senior officer but then why in this single man's quarters? Or maybe, his family won't be joining him. Yeah, that would be the case.
