Humans were some of the most complicated and confusing creatures on the planet. Why did they have to be so....unusual living beings? Noa would question himself that night as he lies beside you in his nest that night, his back pressed onto the softness of the grass intertwined with the padding of twigs and leaves underneath.

Your back had faced him just as you slept comfortably, peacefully. He observes you closely, taking in how your smaller form slept greatly while he struggled to fall asleep. Events from earlier replayed in his mind when the two of you were catching fish and sharing stories as it was strengthening your bond.

The two of you aren't together persay, nor would you consider to just be friends. There was something there, but for now it wasn't a label to it.

Your time together is cut short by unexpected visitor: Mae. Several months had past since Noa last saw Mae, their last meeting ending with a bitter-sweet farewell. Somewhat of that. To him, it was a goodbye, a hope that one day humans and apes would coexist without any tensions between species.

To her? Well...she was unsure.

Mae stuck around but maintained her distance from a far. She knew it wouldn't be right to try and force her way to fit in. The girl may have helped save the clan, but that doesn't deny the fact she betrayed them in the mixture. As far as Noa could see, she still had the medallion he gave her. You would give Noa a questionable look. Despite having crossed paths and interaction here and there, you could not bring yourself to like her.

There was something about Mae that you couldn't put your eye on. As if she was there for some intentions. And Noa had already noticed.

What exactly did she want?
