Proximus Caesar wouldn't consider his human no more than a 'pet' or simply a 'echo'. He has no better interest in intimacy with one, yet alone stoop down for one.
His intentions are to gain more knowledge about them, to gain access to the vault containing so many human materials. Weapons that if he'd gain access to, could change everything.
Despite giving you your ounce of 'freedom' and not completely locked up like a prisoner, Proximus still kept his eye on you. There's so much about you he wanted to know about, it peeked his curiousity more than it should have.
More than what he felt towards Trevathan, himself.
He'd spend time with you, letting you get used to surroundings and such. And in return, you teach him more about the past, what your life was like before he found you.
After all, this will be your new home.
Your quietness, stubbornness and kindness rubbed off on him.
You were a human he took quite a great liking to, a human that would make a great pet if he wanted to. You are more tolerable than the others. You weren't one that was boring, you managed to keep a whole lot of things interesting.
Retrieving information from you was a challenge than he anticipated. You weren't much of a talker when it comes to newcomers he noticed. And during the times you spoke, there wasn't much of any valuable exchangement of words.
Just your head nodding, a 'thank you' or sometimes 'oh ok'.
Often when you're seated to eat, you sense the king's attention pawned on you, his eyes trying their damnest to read your body language. You hid it so well which was the only beginning to frustrate him.
He didn't let it show.
Why were you so hard to read?
And why was he so keen on getting to understand you? Why did you interest him more than anything else?
"You seem.....distracted." Your head raised up at the king's voice. Your gaze left from the half eaten plate laid in front of you, to the king himself sitting at the end of the table. You had nearly forgotten there were four of you in the room still.
You, Trevathan, Noa and Mae. The other three were silent, getting the hint it wasn't their place to speak. Noa furrowed his brows, his hazel green eyes glancing between you and the king.
"Just thinking." You answer as your eyes wandered back down onto your plate, poking at the food in a way that showed you no longer wished to continue eating.
"Thinking... hm." Proximus nods his head, his thumb rubbing his chin in thought. He had a sense that you were more than just thinking; there was something you were hiding."You humans tend to bottle up...emotions. That makes it noticeable. Why is that?"
