There's something about you that attracts you to Noa. And he isn't sure why. From the moment you both met, you two somehow found ways back to one another.

Often when one finds themselves in danger, the other comes to rescue. Despite his distrust and dislike for echos, your intelligence and the way you were so careful within your surroundings intrigued him.

Anaya and Soona didn't seem to mind your presence, in fact they've become curious of who you are as a person, as a human. The two wanted to know more about you which could explain the lack of fear and caution when around you.

Like Mae, you were also intelligent, yet more skilled and experienced in hunting and finding resources. You were different from many, easy to read but difficult to understand.

What was so great about you that kept Noa and the other two around?

You sharpened the arrowhead with a sharp rock, trying to get the arrow back into shape and good use. Noa is seated in the distance with Anaya and Soona, his eyes drawn to you.

He was trying to read you, to see what you were thinking and what your next move could be. His friends both exchanged questionable looks.

They had a feeling there was something more than the two of you being acquaintances since the day you two encountered one other. Anaya nudges Noa gently. "She sits alone... go talk to her?"

Noa hesitated in approaching. He wasn't sure whether or not you were eager to talk. You were so invested in fixing your weapons to really notice him taking a seat across from you. Not too far yet not too close to you.

The calm and relaxed expression shown on your face made you look pretty in his eyes. The last thing Noa himself would have thought. Especially about a human. Noa followed the movement of your hands with his eyes, until they stopped to meet your gaze. "Do you need...help?"He asked, just to give himself a reason to be around you.

Human and ape together? That wasn't something that Noa would have ever considered throughout his entire lifetime. It was impossible, it was simply forbidden. Taboo even. Humans were weak, too destructive and are overall inferior to apes now. They served no actual purpose on the planet other than the simple reminder of what used to exist in the past. So the idea of courting a human, yet alone reproducing with one wasn't even in for debate. The options were limited. Despite the fact that he had Soona as partner, a friend who stuck by his side through thick in and thin, she was not who he loved.

He loved her sure, but she is not the one who he wanted.

To him, she was a close friend. She was family like Anaya. But then there was you. The echo who kept him up all night, his mind wondering to when he would see you again. It was wrong for him to feel attraction–to feel anything lovingly towards you. You were an echo, he was an ape.

Noa couldn't help it.

"You want to court...her?"

Noa sensed the concern and utter surprise from Soona. The way her face had fell quickly. It wasn't an expression that showed disappointment, disbelief or jealousy. She was just stunned and maybe hurt? After everything they went through together and it leads to this. The question itself was asked from genuine curiosity. She wanted to know what his intentions were towards you in all honesty. Soona liked you, she did. Soona only wanted to be sure if Noa can fall into the right trusted hands.!

"Court..." He mutters, letting the thought replay in his mind. Did he truly want to persue you despite your differences, despite the fact that you two were two different species. It was a question that led him to think about."I don't know. But she is special...I trust."Soona herself couldn't deny the chemistry between you and Noa. In the beginning Noa wanted nothing to do you, his dislike and cautiousness for humans was obvious. But as the two of you bonded on your journey to find his clan, his soft spot bloomed for you. They never had that much together, and yet you somehow gotten that within a span of time.

It made her question a lot, but that was a time for another day. All she could do is be his support system, like she always has been.
