He could hear something shuffling from behind the racks of fish. Noa lets out a cough from all the smoke and ash from the lit up fire as he walks further into the tent. He sensed you hiding. He knew you were close.

Your eyes stared in the direction, your body still as to not startle the young ape. As Noa continued to walk towards your direction, determined to see who was hiding behind the lines of hanging fish. The closer he came, the more nervous you grew.

You were aware of how intelligent these apes are; what they were capable of. So you had to be cautious of what you do. And how quick you move.

Your chest felt as if it was squeezing tighter, with your heart beat increasing dramatically. It was then when Noa spotted you, emerald green eyes locked onto you. Noa's face shifts into a more serious expression and within seconds he lunged at you, yet you were quicker, pushing past him and out the tent.

You closed your arms tight, dashing off with the amounts of food you casually took from the apes. You weren't much of a fan of stealing but it was the only way you could eat. To survive. Noa continued to chase after you until he lost sight of you. He lets out a huff in defeat, watching the way the bushes shook from you hitting them.

Dammit.

Noa could barely sleep last night. His mind replayed the events of when he caught you.

The way you stared at him, frozen. The silence was too deafening to the point where he could faintly hear the sound of your heart beating. Who the hell were you and why were you there?

Should he consider you a serious threat? Noa had an idea that you are echo. Yet apart from that, you were smarter than any other he'd ever seen.

Hm. Perhaps he needed to keep an eye out on you. Just to prevent the same thing from happening over again. But this time, he would be sure to catch you.
