chapter 41: Mask off

Richard drove us to a villa. 
"I knew that sooner or later, you would have a meeting. If you need to meet Swan, you can come here," Richard said to the people present as he hugged me.

"Mom, are you now married somewhere else?" Klain suddenly asked.

"Yes," I quietly replied.

"That's good then," I heard Massey say. I looked at her in surprise.

"I saw the video. I also remembered some things while growing up. I am not like Klain, who blindly trusts others," Massey said, leading Klain to glare at her.

"What!" Massey shouted.

"Alright everyone, let's sit down first, have a simple talk, and everything will be fine. Swan can't remember any of you, so whatever you are saying isn't helping," Richard said as he led me to a sofa.

Others followed and sat around us. 
"You can all go ahead and talk," Richard said as he left to go upstairs.

"Is that man treating you well?" Ady wrote in a notebook that his wife, Molly, passed him.

"Yes, he is good," I replied.

Ady sighed in relief. "On your burial, Ady released the videos of Zire's acts and Henry's involvement in the murder, but they were quickly ruled as fake. He was then arrested by the chief of police. If it wasn't for Molly, he would have probably stayed," Sima explained. I looked towards Molly in appreciation.

"He is my man. How can I let anything happen to him? I dare anyone to try!" Molly delicately said. Although her words were soft, you could hear the determination in them.

Ady helplessly held her hand after seeing her furious expression. "Aunt Sima, is Dad really that bad of a person?" Klain asked.

Sima was suddenly silent. "What do you think? After seeing that video, you still have the guts to ask!" Massey screamed at Klain, who immediately shut his mouth.

Suddenly, noise was heard coming from the front of the house. I saw Richard come from the room and directly head outside.

"Let me in! My children and wife are inside. Who are you?" I suddenly heard a voice say.

"Dad!" Klain called as he attempted to stand up before calmly sitting down again after seeing Massey's glare.

I then saw a fairly handsome man enter; he smiled as he looked at me. However, my body immediately shuddered at his smile. I really didn't like how he smiled.

"Shiba! Thank God you are okay. You simply don't know how I missed you," Henry said as he attempted to walk in my direction.

Richard immediately stopped him as he put a hand on his chest. "You can talk over here; no need to go close to her, Henry," he sternly said. I got to know that this man was called Henry, my supposed husband and also abuser. No wonder I didn't like his smile!

"Who the hell are you?" Henry asked.

"Richard Stone, Swan's husband," Richard replied as he walked towards me and held my waist. I immediately became comfortable.

"Oh! You are the supposed husband. Listen, she isn't called Swan; she is Shiba Ada, my legally wedded wife. Your marriage is null and void. I get that you saved her and all; the story is touching, but you can't come between us. Look at her children," Henry said as he pointed towards Massey and Klain.

I saw Richard's jaw tighten and knew he was really angry; however, I didn't know what to say.

Ady immediately wanted to rush towards Henry after his words, but Sima stopped him.
