I fought the smile that was creeping on my face, hoping he never see it. And held in my laugh and giggle. I was fighting demons in my head and fighting the intrusive thoughts. It was war in my head.

After an awkward exchange of dirty cold looks i rolled my eyes and folded my arms, tapping my feet on the ground impatiently.

Kai's eyes narrowed and he grasped my wrist, possessively as he leaned in closer to whisper in my ear. I tried escaping his grasp but he easily overpowered me.

Kai : Second of all, don't make me repeat myself. And last... Don't push it. - he said in a low cold tone.

Adriana : You're hurting me. - I said attempting to, escape his grasp once again.

Kai loosened his grip on my wrist and slowly stood up straight. I pulled my arm away in annoyance.

Adriana : What is wrong with you?

Kai : Everything that's not right.

Adriana : You know what, I'm leaving. And give me my phone. - I demanded.

Kai didn't move not alittle bit. He just stood still and looked at me with his piercing cold gaze.

Adriana : I want to leave!

Kai : I already told your brother that you're sleeping here.

Adriana : I don't care! I want to go home!

Kai just handed me my phone and moved away from the doorway.

I stormed downstairs and opened the door, calling my brother to pick me up but he left me on voicemail. So I  called my mom and she didn't pick up either. I don't know what the hell was happening to me but I started crying. I couldn't even stop it,, even if I tried, I felt hurt and betrayed for some reason.

Kai's Pov :

I was alittle mad at how Adriana spoke to me but I let it pass me, she left downstairs and I went to, check on her. She was standing outside on the walkway, wiping away tears, and I walked over to her. Seeing her like this made me feel bad, so I walked over to her and yanked her phone from her hand. She tried grabbing it from my, but i kept hiding it from her.

Adriana :Oh my god, what is your problem? - she said, with tears pouring from her face as she sniffed.

Kai : Look, you dont need to leave. - I said reluctantly

Adriana : You just showed me the devil in you, what do you mean?

Kai : I mean that that's not me... That's not who I am.

Adriana : Why are you so rude to me? And all I just wanna be is friends.

I stayed silent to let her finish whatever she was saying.

Adriana : I'm literally doing you a favor, I'm trying to be nice, I'm trying to figure you out, but you won't let me! I'm not gonna kill you, if I find out you're a good guy with a tough cover!

Kai :You think I'm scared of you?

Adriana : Yes. You're scared to trust me.

Kai : I'm not scared of anyone but God and myself.

Adriana : I never meant to say you're scared of anyone, I just meant you're scared to trust me.

I scoffed, wiped face and sighed.

Kai : Okay you want me to be open. I'll be open. Come with me.

She followed behind me and we were off. The whole ride was silent and I couldn't help but sneak a few peaks at her. We arrived at the small garage that I had my bikes parked in and I opened the door and closed it behind her.

Kai :Something I never told you about this bike is that my real dad died in an accident.

Adriana :Oh I'm so sorry to hear that.

Kai : And this was the bike he was on .

Adriana : That's why you don't wanna sell it yet.

Kai : Yeah...

Adriana : I'm really sorry that had to happen.

Kai : Yeah. -He said with a reluctant tone.

Adriana : My dad... He's not around.

Kai : Have you atleast met him?

Adriana :He left before me and my brother were born. He just ghosted my mom.

Kai : He's a coward.

Kai's Pov

Adriana just looked away in embarrassment, a hint of sadness in her expression.

I saw she was hurting and that she blamed it on herself.

Kai : Hey, it's not your fault.

Adriana : Yeah but why would he leave then?

Kai : Because he's a little fucker.

Adriana : I kinda wish he would atleast show up for one of my birthdays.

Kai : He doesn't deserve you. It's enough that you're already his kid.

Adriana :I don't even know what he looks like. -She said with tears filling up in her eyes.

I made the decision to comfort her and hold her into a warm embrace.

Kai : Look, I know you're hurting, but he's not worth your tears.

Adriana : He doesn't even care about us, he just left, my mom had to do all the work. He clearly never wanted us.

Kai : Look at me. -I said holding her chin.

Adriana just moved her face away, making me let go of her face,as tears rolled down her face.

Kai : You blame yourself but you weren't even born yet... It doesn't make sense.

Adriana : The fact that he never cared to visit, after 17 years... He still hasn't came by, not even to see if we're okay. I don't even know if he's alive. - She said, bursting into tears.

I couldn't help but feel so frustrated at her dad for everything he's done. I  tightened my grip around her.

Kai : I... I can help you. -I said hesitantly.

Adriana lifted her head of my chest and looked at me with vulnerability in her expression and hope in her eyes.

Adriana : Are you serious?- She said with a hope in her tone.

Kai : Yeah. -I said reluctantly

Adriana just buried her head into my chest and hugged me tightly, her tears all over my jersey.

Kai : I know someone who can find information about him.

Adriana : Thank you. - She said, her voice barely above a whisper, as she wiped her tears.
