CHAPTER 6:The calm before the storm

The sky was cloudy, and the weather was hot. The splendid great sage, wearing his crown, his golden armor, and his cloud walking shoes, was talking with his sworn brothers about what brought the planet into the kingdom. 

When Sun Wukong saw how worried they were and said, "I'm glad he's come. After they saw the damage I made to their strongest soldiers, and if the planet is here alone again, his intentions must be good," he told his commanders to put down their guard and prepare a big display of drums and to turn out a guard of honor to welcome him.

So, the great sage walked straight forward to the guest to hear him say, "Great sage, I ran the risk of punishment by suggesting that the armies shouldn't be called out and that your Majesty should be given a post instead. The Jade emperor approved my memorial, and that is why I have come here to invite you."

"I am so grateful for this honor after the trouble I caused you earlier," replied Sun Wukong. "What is this post heaven has chosen?"

"It is for you to guard the peach gardens of the mother queen. As you can see, the peach festival is so near, and it's necessary to have enough immortality peaches in it, or else the ceremony would be ruined. So, we need you, Great Sage, and your great power to guard the peach until then." The planet explained.

Sun was sure interested and accepted this offer without hesitation. And everyone is glad they ended up with a good relationship with the bureaucracy of heaven.

They had a great ceremony at the end of the day; everyone in the kingdom is talking about the breaking news and that the great sage equal to heaven is officially needed in the heaven court. Of course, they know what that means, except for the new member who joined recently.

The planet takes off to heaven, but the monkey king is still on his throne talking with his brothers. One of them asked, "How is it going with the new fellow that came a while ago? I heard you prepared some different types of investigations with her."

"You got me thinking of what I should do with her; after all, I can't leave her in my kingdom like this alone," Sun replied, landing his cheek on his arm.

"Could she be a spy from there?" the sworn brother replied, narrowing his eyes.

"If it's true, then we'll take care of this. We're going to deal with her if she's causing you trouble. After all, the Flower Fruit Mountain is our home too, and we'll never let anyone disturb our life in it, even if you weren't present. This is our duty toward it," another sworn brother said.

The seven sworn brothers didn't know about you or your story the first time you came here, since Wukong never told them. He thinks it's better to keep training you a secret from them. Only a few know about it, which includes Yu and some servants. And no need to worry about them because they would never dare to say anything, especially when it comes to king's orders.

Keeping your secret hidden from his brothers is what concerns Sun. He never expects from heaven to ask him for help in the celestial realm, and he can't leave you here with them despite the fact they are his sworn brothers; he doesn't trust them fully. He already knows that they are afraid of him; that's why they entered his friend zone in the first place. They're just wishing to stay in their places and, most importantly, to stay alive. And what makes things more complicated is the time. The time in the celestial realm runs so slowly compared with the time in the mortal realm. The last time Wukong spent one day in heaven, a year passed in the mortal realm.

"Don't bother yourselves, elder brothers; I'll take care of her. I'm the one who decided to let her in; it's my responsibility," Wukong replied and stood up from his throne, preparing to leave.

The brothers weren't satisfied, and one of them was bold enough to interrupt the chat.

"Ha, I won't trust her no matter what, and if she ever does something just a little suspicious when you are absent, I'll take care of her myself.A spirit like her is not welcome here anyway."
