Alden led me through a maze of sterile looking, boring white hallways into a room that reminded me of a computer lab. Or it would of if I recognised the strangle technology that occupied each of the large tables. Large screens and a strange box sat on each desk, basic gray chair pulled behind each one. The room was massive hundreds of desks occupying the enormous space.

Alden leads me to the closest desk and pull a chair over so he could help me with the strange technology.  Warily I sit down it the desk chair and allow my tired legs to rest. As soon as I put my foot on the ground a mankle sprung from the floor like a snake, coiling around my ankle. I gasped in fright. The metal bent itself around my ankle. Bent?!!

"Okay," Alden sighs after a moment of silence. "I will help you set up then I have to go... You won't break anything, will you?"

I shake my head, I don't think I could if I tried. Everything looked heavy and expensive, and I was tired and weak. Alden smiles and turns on the  screen in front of me. A holographic keyboard sprung forward.

"We made these work similar to your computers so you could work them well, but this is just a trial so it mightn't work as easily as we think." Alden stated while setting up some kind of program. "Right, what I want you to do is fill out this form honestly. Okay?"

I nod looking at the start of the form which consisted of a language select box. It reminded me of the online census my Mum and I had to fill out.  I pull my chair closer to the desk and start to distract myself from the awful kidnapping situation with the form.  Alden had left to help with the other children and sent for some gnomes to be sent to the room to watch me. My foot was still chained to the floor, meaning escape wasn't an option, so instead I got to work filling in the form.

The form went on and on like this for about 10 minutes, Alden's pack of gnomes turned up about half way through but left me alone. I did fill each space  honestly, I was to scare they somehow figure out if I lied. Once I had filled the last space and submitted the form, I waited.  The computer lit up with a blue screen showing a picture of box beside the computer. Please insert wrist written in bold letters underneath as the graphic showed what they meant. Out the corner of my eye I saw the face of a small gnome, he was watching me I suppose. Alden walked in with two others, a older english man and a young looking Indian teen before setting them up at  a desk too.

I turn back to my screen nervously toying with the idea of not following the instructions. Somehow I knew that wouldn't end well. Warily I stuck my arm into the box. The screen flashes green and a quick jolt ran through my body. I tear myself out of the box in fright. Attached snuggly to my arm was a cold metal band engraved with my name and a glittering crystal set in the center. I stroke the smooth surface in nervously as the screen lights up again. Your escort will be with you soon.

I sit staring blankly at the screen my heart racing and head pounding. All I could do was wait. A few minute come and go before a gnome came over, undid my shackle from the floor and attached the cord to a rail. These people were really worried I was going to leave or fight. Not that I could anyway. I didn't even know where I was. The gnomish man gestured for me to follow and began to walk. The cord moved along the track forcing me to walk along with it.  We walked at a quick pace in silence, weaving through hallways that all looked the same. The cord consistently tried to trip me up but I managed to keep my dignity and stay up right.  The gnomish man stopped at a pair of green door, surprising me when they opened up to a large meadow like space. Small trees, bright coloured flowers and a grassy hill filled the high ceilinged room. The track stops and the cord detaches itself from my ankle, leaving me alone in the un-natural space, that radiated wrongness.

The Gnome cast me a small sad smile before closing the door. Now completely alone, I allowed myself to realize I was never going home I would never see my family again. I broke. I curled up of the ground, fierce hot agony tearing through my sobbing frame. Tear streamed down my face relentlessly. I cried until I feel asleep, stress and fear had exhausted me to my very core.
