The flight to the southern realm took quite a while. You didn't want Draco to be too exhausted and you had suggested for a break to take place. He agreed and found an open area that he could easily lay down in. He helped you from his back and you chose to take this moment to eat some more food. You were trying to eat sparingly with what was given to you by Kara.

"Are you excited to see your parents?" Draco asked.

You swallowed the bite of bread before answering, "I am but I'm also nervous..." It had been so long since last you had seen them. What would they think of you? What would they say with where you are now in your life?

"Many questions plague your mind. Don't worry about anything. All will work out." He gave you a reassuring smile.

You looked up at him with a smile, but your eyes still held worry, "I hope they will not be disappointed in where I'm at."

"Why would they be disappointed?"

"I don't have a home. Well, not one they would expect me to have. I have hardly any money on me. I..." You felt as if you were now taking advantage of someone else's home. Though Draco did not have to worry about things like money, you realized that it may look like you're free loading.

"Don't have such thoughts ___. I am the one who offered you a place to stay at. I do not regret that offer." He didn't like seeing you this way. However, he could understand why you would be feeling like this. People can change in the span of just a few years. It seemed you had changed a lot based on when you were last seen with your parents.

"I'm sorry...I do not mean to doubt you in your offer. I am very grateful for it and am happy to stay with you. I just...I hope my parents will not panic. I hope they'll see that I am in good hands..." You felt safe with Draco. You could count on him to be there for you. Although you and he were still getting to know each other, his presence was a comfort and joy for you.

Draco did as he had before. He brought you close to him and stroked your hair. You smiled up at him, the worry from your eyes slowly fading away. You appreciated the gesture, closing your eyes with a contented sigh. He gave a warm smile and decided to sing.

You listened closely to the words. They were in dragon tongue so you didn't understand what was being sung. However, you felt a sense of calm from him and in his voice. That was enough for you and you relished in it.

Draco finished his song and you opened your eyes to look at him. Orange/gold met (eye color) eyes. You felt tranquility staring into his eyes. He was very good about making you feel serene when the moment called for it.

He felt your essence become at ease which made him feel more relaxed too. He still stroked your hair. It is almost as if it slowly were becoming a habit for him. One that he did not mind in the least.

You and Draco talked a little more before setting out again. You both agreed to see your parents first and then to seek out Arianell. The dragon decided to literally grab a quick bite to eat. He had seen some sheep not long after he started flying. He quickly swooped down and caught a few in his clawed hands and ate them all in one mouthful. You were hanging on for dear life when he did that, hair blowing all around and eyes widened enough to pop out of your head.

"You doing okay?" Draco asked, voice laced with concern.

"Yes. I'm alright..." You knew you would be fine. You still were not completely used to him doing that with grabbing food for himself. It was scary at first but it could be fun. Being able to fly was amazing in itself!
