A Chance Meeting

Part 7

Upon reaching the open field, you were astounded by the sight. Lush green grass, cute little flowers, and a waterfall in the distance. A river ran delicately through the greenery and the waterfall beyond accompanied a cliffside that almost reminded you of Draco's cave. It was as if you and Draco stepped into a dream.

"This is amazing!" you exclaimed as you ran ahead. You let your fingers caress the tall blades of grass as you passed them, feeling soft to the touch.

Draco watched you move around the field with ease and smiled. You were adorable in his eyes. He too found the place quite beautiful. He walked forward to meet up with you.

You had made your way to the cascading waterfall, gazing at the splendor. The waterfall was cool and you could just make out a rainbow.

"Breath taking isn't?" Draco asked standing beside you.

"It is! It really is.." you said contently. A thought occurred to you then, one that brought on the blush that had made its appearance a regular occurrence as of late.

"Are you wanting to..." Draco drifted off and cleared his throat, "To bathe?"

You nodded silently, your face turning extremely red.

"Alright. I'll stand guard. Let me know when you finish." Draco moved his eyes every which way, walking into the river with his back facing you.

"Okay," you replied quietly, but still loud enough for the dragon to hear you over the noise of the waterfall. You began undressing yourself and then stepped into the water. You shivered violently at the temperature drop. The water was frigid. You worked on using the waterfall to rinse off your body. It felt good to get yourself cleaned up.

You still felt awkward for standing here in the nude while Draco stood guard. You knew he wouldn't do anything to you, but you couldn't help feeling flustered at the moment. You shook your head and continued rising your body off along with your hair. You hoped your hair and body would dry off relatively quickly. You finished and worked on dressing yourself in the blue clothing. You had hoped you could get some new clothes at some point. Your outfit had seen better days.

"I'm finished," you said as you grabbed your hair to ring out as much water as possible.

Draco turned around to look at you. He could see how cold you were making yourself be from being wet and wearing your clothes, "Here." He extended his hand for you to step into.

You did so and he instantly held you against his chest, heat flooding your system. You sighed calmly and relaxed your body against his. Draco walked with his other three limbs. He decided it was best to lay down. Finding a cozy looking space, he settled himself down into the grass, still holding you against his chest.

"Feeling a little warmer now?" he asked as he looked around the scenery.

"I am. Thank you," you replied, snuggling further into his chest. The scales were soft and comforting.

He smiled at feeling you nuzzle against him. He sighed in content.

The two of you rested comfortably, taking in the sights and sounds of nature. No words were spoken as you two decided to let nature sing her chorus repeatedly. All was tranquil.
