The dawn gave its greeting on the world, awakening all who still slumbered. Every creature opened their eyes from the morning sunlight. The dragon and the girl in the cave soon joined the rest of the animals waking up.

Draco moved his leg for you to get up and stretch your limbs. He did the same, moving all four of his legs, tail, and wings. He stretched every fiber of his body. You moved your arms and legs and tried stretching your back along with your neck. You felt a little stiff. You had slept well, but now your body felt rigid.

A few minutes were spent with both you and him stretching.

"I had no idea our morning would start off with so much stretching," you said with some amusement.

"It doesn't hurt to do some morning stretches. I take it you slept well?" Draco asked.

"I did and you?"

"I did." He sighed after finishing his stretches, "I will fetch something to eat for myself along the way to the mountains."

You nodded in understanding and grabbed the black bag that Kara had given to you yesterday.

"Ready to depart?" Draco asked.

"Yes," you answered.

"Here." The dragon extended his right clawed hand out to you.

You did as before and used his thumb to help climb into his hand. He then lifted his hand up to his neck.

"Careful of my spikes," he said cautiously.

"Right," you replied.

You observed the area in front of you. There were small white spikes on Draco's neck except for where his neck and back met at the joints. It would work out fine for you to sit there. You carefully got out of his hand and sat down on the spot. The area was scaly like the rest of his body, but very soft too. You felt a little nervous, but excited that you would get to experience flying with a dragon.

"You okay? Secure?" Draco asked with some concern.

"Yes, I'll be alright. I trust you," you responded reassuringly.

"Good. Hang on tight!" Draco got himself ready to fly out of the cave.

You braced onto him as best as you could, gripping the part of his neck that did not have spikes on it.

Draco flapped his wings, gently gliding before shooting out of the cave. Water from the waterfall splashed on you and you tried using your body as a shield for the black bag, yelping as the water hit you. You did not wish for that to get soaked too horribly.

Soon, after passing through the waterfall, you and Draco ascended into the bright blue sky, the dragon's wings gently fluttering in the breeze. You gasped at seeing the world below you. It was spectacular! Never had you imagined that you would get to experience such a moment.

"Breath taking is it not?" Draco asked. He was flying at a calmer rate.

"It is. It truly is," you said. It was hard to fathom such a time as this. You knew you wouldn't forget this moment.

"You said the dragon was located in the mountains in the northern direction. Correct?"

"Yes."

"Good. I'm going to look for breakfast in a little bit. I want you to get used to flying first."
