You and Draco talked a little longer outside before he escorted you both back into the cave. Draco then went out to fetch some food. Scheming took its toll on the dragon and he hadn't had the chance to eat anything. He wanted to give you sustenance as well. The cave luckily did not feel too chilly right now. The temperature was just perfect. You figured it would drop again when night came.

It was not too long before Draco was back with some sheep this time. It was one of his favorites and he thought you might enjoy it too. He worked on cooking it for you and then cutting off a piece of it for you. You enjoyed the sheep very much. Draco knew how to cook well!

"___," Draco said after finishing his portion.

"Yes?" You asked.

"How far does your memory go back in descriptions of the dragons your family encountered?"

"Hmmm...let's see..." You closed your eyes trying to piece together the conversations you had with your parents. Most of which had been a long time ago. You cannot even remember when you last saw your parents...

Suddenly, one memory came up for you, "I remember one dragon being described as having dark purple scales. Female. The eyes were a bright green. Wings were a lighter shade of purple. There were pink spikes along the back, tail, and on the head."

"Interesting...did they say where they last saw the dragon?" Draco was trying to remember if he had come across such a dragon himself. The details did sound vaguely familiar...

"Somewhere in the mountains. North of here is all I can tell you."

He smiled, "Thank you ___. It's a good starting point."

"You're welcome," you replied with a kind smile.

"You can fill me in later about any others. I do not wish to overwhelm you." He had noticed it took you a good few minutes to remember the details of this one dragon.

"It's no trouble at all," you reassured him. "Thinking about this and my parents...I have not seen my parents in five years."

His eyes widened at that, "That long?"

"Yes. I wanted a new start in another place and moved to a new village. It is much farther away from them than I thought it was going to be."

He looked at you with saddened eyes and replied in like with, "That is far too long to be away from your parents."

You nodded matching his behavior. Your eyes glistened. You wanted to cry. How much it broke their hearts and yours to move so far away. It was too late to turn back though. You had already signed the contract to take the new home. You were due to sign for it again soon, but you did not have the means to keep the place. Not that it mattered now that you're staying with Draco. Still, you missed your parents.

Draco noticed your eyes trying to spill out tears. He gently wrapped you in his clawed hand, bringing you closer to his face. You gasped in surprise as you weren't expecting the gesture. He looked down at you with his golden, orange eyes softly and with empathy. He was being as gentle as possible with you by trying to stroke your hair with one of his claws.

You blushed at the sweet gesture but appreciated it. You closed your eyes, enjoying the touch.

"I can take you to see your parents if you wish," Draco said in a soft voice.
