After eating, Sarah retired to her room to do homework and to put a battery on her watch. He took the battery out of the box and once he put it on he saw that the time had been delayed, so, looking at the time marked on his phone, he began to adjust the time on the clock, as soon as he finished he saw how the things in his room began to disappear and in their place the street he was going to get home from school appeared again, Confused and frightened, she rubbed her eyes with her hands, thinking she was already seeing badly, but when she opened her eyes again she was still standing on the same street. He immediately pulled out his phone and realized that he had apparently gone back 3 hrs in time. The idea of pinching herself crossed her mind, maybe it was a dream. As soon as he pinched himself and felt the slight burning, he knew it wasn't a dream. He looked suspiciously and doubtfully at the clock in his hand and thought of adjusting the hands of the clock again to see what would happen, but this time he would advance the time, carefully and a little fearfully he began to advance the hands and as soon as he finished, the street began to disappear and in its place appeared his room once again, Sarah assumed that she had returned to the moment when she changed the batteries in her watch, but when she looked out the window she saw that it was already dark.
The first thing he thought was that maybe the battery was magic, and he decided that he would remove it and replace it with another one. As soon as she did this, she adjusted the hands again, but once again she went back in time, to the moment when she was sitting with her parents in the dining room. Her face was one of utter confusion and Mr. and Mrs. Johnson asked her if she was all right, but she only replied that she had remembered a calculation task she had for the next day. After that, the meal went on normally, at least for Mrs. Rachel and Mr. Walter, because in Sarah's mind there were many unanswered questions.
That night he couldn't sleep thinking about what he had just discovered. She had seen movies like "Back to the Future" or "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban" where time travel happens, but they were just that, movies, she could not find a scientific or magical explanation for why she could travel in time by moving the hands of the clock and as far as she remembered her grandmother never mentioned that her clock was magical, The day he told her that he wanted her to have him, he only asked her to take care of him, but he never warned her that he could return to the past or travel to the future. His mind only thought about looking for an explanation, until his ideas wandered into what he could do with the power he had in his hands. She only planned to use it for innocent things, Sarah wasn't known for being very punctual, so she could use the watch to get to her classes on time or when calculus class screwed her up and she wanted her to finish faster. When she got tired of thinking about all the possible answers, she closed her eyes to sleep, but her alarm went off indicating that it was time to start a new day.
With a loud sigh, Sarah got up and began to get ready to go to school. Due to lack of sleep, huge dark circles under her eyes were marked on her face, and when she saw herself in the mirror she was frightened by her own reflection, but then she remembered that she could go back to the past. His plan was to go back to the night before and sleep, so he took the clock from his dresser, set back the hands, and went back to the night before. As soon as she put her head on the pillow and closed her eyes, she fell asleep, with a smile from thinking about the good days that were to come next to the clock.
It dawned again once again, but this time Sarah was 100% ready to start the day, plus she had tested the effectiveness of time travel with the watch. When she went down to lunch, a huge smile adorned her face, her parents found it strange that their daughter had so much excitement about going to class, so they asked her the reason for so much joy. Sarah didn't tell them anything about the magic clock or how she could move forward or backward in time as she imagined that they wouldn't believe her or that they would think she was going crazy, so she only told them that she had had a very good dream and Mr. and Mrs. Johnson accepted that answer.
The day passed without any new incidences or discoveries. As Sarah planned, she only used the watch to get into history class on time, as she had arrived 25 minutes late. From then on, he made sure he was on time for class. When he entered his biology class, he was distracted by seeing a bird on a branch through the window. That day it rained early, so the floor was full of puddles that reflected rainbows, and the smell of wet earth filtered through the open windows. At that moment the memory of when she was 10 years old and her grandmother came to spend the summer holidays with them came to mind, specifically the memory of the time they had a picnic in a park near their house, what they did not foresee that time was that a storm would fall and they would have to run out of the park, as soon as the fierce thunder began to rumble her grandmother started running, neither Sarah nor Mrs. Rachel had seen her run before and they were surprised by the speed with which she did it, she even left them behind.
