Apsara's POV

The next month was hectic. With a wedding to prepare for and a huge fashion festival before it, I had no time to distract myself. The wedding date and the pregnancy was going to be announced in the party arranged in the evening. Enzo and Sienna were leaving for a pre-wedding getaway the next day and I had made sure they would have a nice time without any work things disturbing them.

"Ok! You can look at yourself now", Elodie sang and I looked at myself in the mirror. I stood up and corrected my body-hugging, floor-length, dark blue gown which had minute details of green on it here and there. I nodded and hugged her before walking out. The prompter signaled me to wait and I nodded at her. Then she waved her hands and I followed her instructions and walked out with my signature model face and posture. I walked gracefully down the runway and then executed a smooth and elegant turn making the beaded fringes all over the gown fly. I looked back over my shoulder and with a subtle, confident smile, I looked at the flashing lights. I walked back and as soon as I was out of sight, my whole team cheered for me.

I hugged each one of them and walked out of the venue as I had no time to stay for the after party that was arranged for a few of models and the designers. I reached home and greeted my mother and Enzo who were talking to an event organizer. "So, purple and peach peonies for the venue and ivory ones for the bridal suite and bouquets. Okay, I'll make a list of the other things we could not talk about today and get back to you tomorrow", the woman in a purple dress smiled at me and walked away with Natasha. "How was the show, dear?", my mom asked. I kissed her forehead and hummed.

"You ready for the party tonight?", Enzo teased. I had begged him to let me know the dates of the wedding but he was making me wait like everyone else. I showed him the finger making my mom yell my name. I grabbed a bottle of water and my packed salad and dressing and stuffed them in my gym bag. "I'm going to the gym. I'll see you guys at the party", I waved at my mother and that animal and walked out with Cheryl right behind me. "You know you have a gym at home right?", she chuckled.

"You know that my brother had sex with his fiancée there in the morning right?", she looked away and started driving. We heard some music until we reached the gym I rarely went to. I shook hands with the owner of the gym and a few of my colleagues who were already there working out. I changed into my workout clothes and did a quick warm up. Lizzo's Good As Hell was blasting in my headphones as I did some cardio. I did a few dance moves to the beat of the song while walking on the treadmill.

I had been there for over half an hour when I decided to go to the leg press machine to get some leg presses done. I sat on the bench and put my legs up and felt a slight pain in my abdomen but brushed it off. I closed my eyes for a second and breathed to reduce the pain in my stomach. Once I felt it fade away, I started but I could not even move my legs before I heard a loud metal clank and saw a weight falling on me. I closed my eyes and turned away trying to not ruin my face but the impact never came. I opened my eyes slowly and saw a strong arm holding the rod of the weight just above my face. I looked at the weight which was not what I had place on the machine and gulped.

I sat up and sighed while trying to calm my racing heart down. "Are you okay?", my eyes snapped open as soon as I heard that voice. I looked up at the man who had saved me and my eyes widened. It was none other than Ashwin himself, who had saved me. I covered my mouth in shock and jumped like a crazy girl and threw myself in his arms. "Oh my God, it's you!! It really is you!! ASHWINNN!!!!", I sang. It was the first time in 8 years I had seen him and my happiness knew no bounds.

I did not pull away at all and talked over his shoulders while trying to catch a breath. "I still can't believe you are here", I felt him pull me closer and sigh. "I missed you too", he whispered. I pulled away even though I did not want to and said, "Thanks for saving me", he laughed. "I'm always here, Apsara", it had been a long time since anyone had called me that and I blinked. "Why don't we go out and talk?", I said and excused myself to change clothes. I took a short shower in the gym and walked out to find him talking to the owner of the gym. "I know, sir. It won't happen again. I am terribly sorry", the man was apologizing.
