~the next morning~

I wake up and stretch my arms, letting out a small yawn. Rubbing my eyes, I'm immediately reminded of the lingering smell of smoke from last night. I hurry to the window and fling it open, hoping to let in some fresh air to clear the scent. Just then, I hear a knock at the door. I walk over and open it to find Theo standing there with a bright smile.

"Good morning, y/n," he greets me.

"Good morning! Why are you here?" I reply.

"The boys and I are heading to Hogsmeade and we were hopinng you'd join us," he says.Awww how sweet. They want me to come with them, I feel a smile creep up on my face and I tell him I'll be 15 minutes.

"Take your time," he grins, closing the door as he walks away.

I head to the bathroom to brush my hair and quickly apply some makeup. I go for a light look with dark mascara to make my eyes stand out. After changing out of my pajamas, I slip into a pink strapless top and a lovely white skirt. I check myself in the mirror and grab a dark hoodie, just in case it gets chilly. Once I'm all set, I grab my cute handbag, throw the strap over my shoulder, and step out of the dorm to find all the boys waiting in the common room.

"Good morning, boys!" I greet them with a cheerful smile.

Most of them respond with a morning back, and we head out of the common room, chatting and laughing as we make our way to Hogsmeade. Suddenly, Enzo pushes Draco, causing him to stumble and land right on me.

"Enzooo, you just knocked me into y/n!" he whines in a playful tone.

As he steadies himself and releases me, he looks at me with a puzzled expression."You smell like cigarettes," he remarks, studying me closely.I pout my lips while grinning. "You got me," I chuckle."Omg, give me one now!" Theo exclaims, bouncing with excitement.

I tell him I don't have any on me, that they're back in my dorm. We keep joking around until we reach the Three Broomsticks. Tom orders us all Butterbeers since he lost a bet a few days ago. He brings them over, and I take a sip.

"I haven't had this in ages; it's so delicious!"

As the warm glow of the Three Broomsticks enveloped me, I lean back in my chair, surrounded by a whirlwind of laughter and playful banter. Draco smirks, tossing a butterbeer cap at Mattheo, who retaliated by flicking foam from his drink in Draco's direction. Enzo, ever the instigator, challenged Theo to a game of who could balance the most butterbeer mugs on their head, while Tom observed with a knowing smile, his eyes glinting with mischief. I couldn't help but laugh, feeling a sense of happiness in their antics, the worries of the wizarding world fading away for just a moment as they reveled in the joy of friendship and the warmth of the pub. As i turn to watch draco and Mattheo throw foam at each other, i hear a few laughs coming from beside me, i look back to see my drink is empty, I see Theo with a grin on his face and a little bit of foam left on his cheeks which he quickly licks away as he notices. I just open my mouth, surprised. I lean over the table and grab his drink, and chug it down. Everyone at the table now chanting for me to chug, applausing me as i finish and wipe my lips clean.

I chuckle with my friends, but then I spot him. Those wicked green eyes, his annoying straight black hair, and that tall figure. My smile fades, and fear grips me. Our eyes meet, and he strides toward me. The boys at the table notice my change in expression and realize who's approaching. They go silent, turning in their seats, ready to defend me.

"Quite the crowd you have here, y/n," he says. The Slytherin boys wait for my response.

"Yep, Jackson," I reply, keeping my face blank. He had to ruin a perfectly good moment. I was actually enjoying myself.

"Of course, it's just a bunch of guys. I was right when I called you a slut," he sneers.

Immediately, the Slytherin boys rise from their seats, signaling Jackson to leave. He glances around, scoffing.

"We'll settle this later," he says as he walks off.

The boys sit back down, asking what just happened and who he is. I explain that he's my abusive ex-boyfriend, someone I met in Diagon Alley about a year ago. I finally broke up with him two months ago after standing up to his abuse. He's just a selfish Ravenclaw with nothing better to do. The boys nod in understanding.

"Listen, if he ever tries anything again, come to us right away, and we'll handle it," Theo says, placing a reassuring hand on my shoulder.

"Okay, thank you," I reply with a smile. As we head back to Hogwarts, I spot a clothing store in Hogsmeade that catches my eye. (I know these kind of stores aren't really in hogsmeade but lets just say that they are)

"You all can go ahead; I'll just browse this shop for a little while," I gesture."No way, we're not leaving you alone in Hogsmeade. Something could happen. Mattheo, go in with her while we wait out here," Draco says with a smirk.

Of course, he picked Mattheo to accompany me. He did it on purpose; they always tease us about our supposed dislike for each other, and they find it hilarious. Mattheo rolls his eyes and follows me inside. I dash to the dress section and spot a cute, fitted black dress. I tell Mattheo I'm going to try it on, and he tells me to hurry up. I slip into the dressing room and quickly change. Stepping out, I do a little spin, and I catch Mattheo checking me out.

~Mattheo's POV~I can't help but admire her; she looks amazing. Ugh, Mattheo, stop it! You can't like her; everyone will think you're weak for falling for a girl outside the dark side. Plus, my father would never allow it. He only wants me with someone who serves him or is the daughter of someone who does, as long as they show him respect and follow the dark path. Whatever.

She heads back into the dressing room and comes out holding the dress on a hanger. She places it on the rack labeled 'unwanted items' and says, "Let's go."

"So, you're not buying it?" I ask."No, why would I?" she replies.Great, I wanted to see her in it. She just wasted my time, and she's not even buying it."Because you wasted my time," I say sharply.

We step outside and spot the boys laughing, clearly amused that they got me to go in with y/n. I brush it off and we head back to Hogwarts, skipping any more random shops this time. But I can't shake the image of how stunning she looked in that dress. She was absolutely perfect—her curves, her features, and don't even get me started on her figure. What am I doing? You can't like her, just stop it! I scold myself in my mind. Suddenly, a voice interrupts my thoughts. A small Hufflepuff boy rushes past us, calling out, "Party tonight in the Ravenclaw common room! Bring as many people as you can and drinks!" I can't help but smile. This is just what I needed—a party.

I give Theo a nudge, and he grins back at me. We start playfully shoving each other, both eager for the fun ahead. Everyone begins chatting about the drinks they'll bring, but then I notice y/n walking quietly, her face cold. Oh right, her ex is in Ravenclaw, so he'll definitely be there. But that's her problem; I'm going to this party whether she wants to or not.
