~Mattheo~
As we step into Malfoy Manor, I push the door open, the creak echoing in the stillness.
"He said she's in the basement," Theo murmurs, his eyes scanning the dimly lit space.
I nod, and we begin our stealthy search for the basement entrance. After a few minutes of wandering through the eerie halls, Tom spots a door that leads to a narrow staircase descending into darkness. He ventures down first, wand illuminating the way, and I follow closely behind, my grip on my wand tightening. Enzo and Theo trail after us, wands at the ready, as the air grows colder and the shadows deepen around us.
Reaching the bottom step, my gaze locks onto you. You're huddled against the cage, arms crossed, legs bound. You look so fragile, shivering, and filled with dread.
"Well, what do we have here?" a low voice cuts through the tension. You look up, your chains clinking as you lean forward to get a better look at me. I raise my wand, prepared to confront the three Death Eaters blocking our path. They know exactly why we're here.
"Hmm, I recognize you. The Dark Lord's sons, right? How unfortunate that you've chosen to defy him," one sneers, eyeing Tom and me.
"That's right. I am his son so trust me when I say you might want to step the fuck aside or I will literally kill you," Tom retorts, his voice laced with menace.
In an instant, one of the Death Eaters casts a spell, but Tom deflects it effortlessly. Chaos erupts as we engage in a fierce duel, spells illuminating the room in a dazzling array of colors. Amidst the turmoil, Theo dashes toward you.
"You look kinda shit," he quips, fumbling with the lock on your cage."Thanks for the compliment," you reply, a hint of sarcasm in your voice.
With a click, the lock gives way, and he quickly frees the chain from your ankle, supporting you as you stumble out. With one arm draped over his shoulder, you finally feel the surge of your powers returning. You extend your arm, and with a swift motion, one of the Death Eaters is sent crashing into the wall.
A spell whizzes past you, and with a flick of your wrist, you send it hurtling back at the caster. It strikes him squarely, and I can't help but smirk at the sight. But then, the last Death Eater lunges at you, a low growl rumbling in his throat. Just as I prepare to get in the way, you tilt your head, and with a sickening crack, he breaks his arm. I catch a glimpse of Theo's jaw dropping in disbelief before he grabs your hand, pulling you along as we all sprint out of the room.
We race up the stairs, bursting through the mansion's doors and into the wild embrace of the night. The long grass brushes against our legs as we run, finally coming to a halt. Theo releases your hand, and we all pause, panting, trying to catch our breath. You look up at us, and suddenly, you pull us all into a tight hug, tears streaming down your face.
"I had to. He was going to kill you all," you sob, your voice trembling. In that moment, nothing else matters to me. All I care about is that you're safe, that you're back in my arms. I want to protect you, to hold you close and never let go. We pull apart, but I linger a moment longer, wrapping you in my warmth, inhaling your familiar scent, afraid that if I release you, you might vanish again. I notice Tom and Theo exchanging mischievous glances, but I brush it off.
I meet your gaze, my voice firm, "Don't you ever leave me again."
Realizing you're still shivering, I quickly shed my jacket, draping it over your shoulders. You're only in a torn tank top and bike pants, and I can't help but worry. As I zip it up for you, I see you take a quick whiff of the fabric, a smile breaking through your tears. My heart skips a beat at the sight of you in my jacket.
