Your feet ponded against the forest floor, your sandals not going much to protect your feet from the sticks that cut up your feet.

You cried as you continued to run, when you heard the noise of a gunshot you screamed in shock before quickly hiding behind a tree as you cried.

You never thought Hannibal would get to this point with you, but he was one for teaching lessons.

"Mažasis triušis." You heard him call out as you quickly covered your mouth, trying to keep quiet.

"Maybe I didn't actually adopt you, little one. Your little brain remembers things I didn't think it would, I'm not your real father. But, there's a lot you don't understand, little rabbit. Your father and I were good friends once upon a time, but sadly he betrayed me. I needed to teach him a lesson, so I killed his wife, your mother." He explained as you continued to cover your mouth, your eyes wide with shock.

"He was so distraught he took his own life, leaving his innocent daughter as an orphan. I came to your house and I saw you in your room playing with your toys while your father's body lay in the next room. You don't remember that day, your mind has pushed it away. On the ride back home you told me what your father was like, what he had done to you and your mother over those years, the drinking, the drugs... You don't remember a thing, do you? But, I remember everything, the first nightmare, the first time you called me dad and the first time you tried to run from me." His steps were light and quiet as you still covered your mouth, you heard the click of a gun and looked up into Hannibal's eyes.

"Maybe you aren't mine biologically, but you will always be my daughter no matter what you do, whether you run, scream or even hurt me." He said as you stared up at him in fear.

He dropped the gun to the ground and open his arms, you burst out into tears and rushed forward, hugging him as tight as possible.

His arms wrapped around you in return, sighing in relief.

"I don't ever expect you to understand what I did, but you must understand I will never harm you. But, if you want to go..." He trailed off, stepping away from you.

"I'm not stopping you." He said as you continued to cry softly, looking at Hannibal.

"I don't want to leave anymore." You whispered through tears as he smiled ever so slightly.

"Then let's go home, little rabbit."
