[ Walhallas Castle - Courtyard ]

The evening sun cast long shadows across the courtyard as Greymor approached Deer.

The weight of his recent encounter with Muzan hung heavy on his shoulders.

The castle, usually a place of strategy and order, now felt like a battleground of uncertain futures.

Deer stood near the training grounds, his eyes focused on a group of soldiers practicing their formations.

When he noticed Greymor approaching, he dismissed the soldiers with a wave of his hand and turned to face him.

Deer: "Greymor, you’re back."

"What did Muzan say?"

Greymor sighed, his expression grim. He had hoped to find some semblance of justice or at least a clear path forward, but Muzan’s cold indifference had left him with more questions than answers.

Greymor: "Deer,"

"it’s worse than we thought."

"Kazuto’s death... Muzan had nothing to do with it directly, but he knew."

"He knew about Kartik’s plans, and he did nothing to stop it."

Deer’s eyes narrowed, anger flashing across his face.

Deer: "So he just let it happen?"

"He knew Kartik was going to frame Kazuto,"

"and he let it happen anyway?"

Greymor nodded, his voice heavy with frustration.

Greymor: "He sees everything as a game, Deer."

"To him, Kazuto was just a pawn—someone to be used and discarded."

"Muzan didn’t care about the friendship they shared."

"All he cares about is power."

Deer clenched his fists, the tension in his body visible.

The betrayal cut deep; Kazuto had been more than just a leader—he had been a brother-in-arms, a friend.

Deer: "And Alan?"

"What did Muzan say about him?"

Greymor looked away for a moment, gathering his thoughts.

He had seen the same look in Muzan’s eyes that he had seen in so many others—underestimation.

Muzan didn’t think Alan was a threat, but Greymor knew better.

Greymor: "Muzan isn’t worried about Alan."

"He thinks Alan is just a boy, too small to challenge someone like him."

"But I saw it, Deer."

"I saw the resolve in Alan’s eyes when he left."

"He’s not going to stop until he gets his revenge."

Deer exhaled sharply, the weight of the situation sinking in.

Deer: "Alan’s strong,"

"but he’s walking a dangerous path."

"If he goes after Muzan or Kartik on his own, he won’t stand a chance."

"They’ll crush him."

Greymor: "That’s why we need to be there for him."

"Alan can’t do this alone, and he shouldn’t have to."

"Muzan’s arrogance might be his downfall, but we need to make sure Alan doesn’t fall first."

Deer paced for a moment, his mind racing.

The alliance between the clans was fragile, and Kazuto’s death had sent shockwaves through their ranks.

Alan’s quest for vengeance could either unite them or tear them apart.

Deer: "What are you suggesting, Greymor?"

"That we join him in his fight?"

Greymor stopped pacing and looked Deer in the eye, his voice steady and determined.

Greymor: "Yes."

"We need to stand by him, Deer."

"Kazuto’s death can’t be in vain."

"If we let Muzan and Kartik get away with this, they’ll only grow stronger."

"But if we fight together, we have a chance to change things."

Deer considered Greymor’s words, the reality of their situation settling in. He knew the risks—they all did. But doing nothing was no longer an option.

Deer: "You’re right."

"Kazuto wouldn’t want us to sit back and watch as everything falls apart."

"But we need to be smart about this."

"If we’re going to take on Muzan and Kartik, we need a plan—a real strategy."

Greymor nodded in agreement, the beginnings of a plan forming in his mind.

Greymor: "We’ll need to gather our forces, make alliances where we can."

"But most importantly, we need to find Alan before he does something reckless."

"If we can reach him, maybe we can convince him to work with us, rather than going it alone."

Deer: "That won’t be easy."

"Alan’s hurt, angry."

"He might not want our help, especially after what happened with Kazuto."

Greymor: "I know."

"But we have to try."

"Alan’s strong, but he’s not invincible."

"If we can get through to him, if we can show him that he doesn’t have to fight this battle alone, we might stand a chance."

Deer looked out over the courtyard, the setting sun casting a warm glow over the stone walls.

He thought of Kazuto, of the battles they had fought together, of the trust they had built.

And he thought of Alan, a young man thrust into a world of chaos and betrayal.

Deer: "Alright, Greymor."

"We’ll do this together."

"For Kazuto, for Alan, and for everyone who’s been caught in the crossfire. But we need to move quickly."

"The longer we wait, the stronger Muzan and Kartik become."

Greymor felt a sense of relief, knowing that Deer was with him.

They were stepping into dangerous territory, but they weren’t alone.

Greymor: "We’ll start tonight. We’ll gather the others, lay out our plan, and then we’ll find Alan."

"It’s time we turned the tide in this war."

Deer nodded, his resolve solidifying.

Deer: "Let’s make sure Kazuto’s sacrifice wasn’t for nothing."

"We’ll find Alan, and we’ll make sure this ends on our terms."

With that, the two men turned and began to walk towards the castle’s main hall, ready to rally their forces.

But surely Deer knew Greymor is planning something big, and ofcourse Greymor isn't a type who won't do anything for his own sake.

Deer was excited to see Greymor's games.

Chapter Ends.
