The tension in the air was thick as Mike stood frozen, his eyes wide with disbelief, trying to process Aarush’s words. His heart raced, and for a moment, it was as if everything around him faded into a blur. The words he had just heard reverberated in his mind like a thunderclap.
Mike: "So you’ve seen Alan… just now?" His voice was almost a whisper, the shock evident in his tone.
Aarush: "Yes." Aarush’s eyes were shadowed, his voice carrying the weight of everything he had witnessed. Alan—the one they thought lost, the one who had fallen into the darkness—was alive. But more than that, he was out there, moving like a storm without any control.
Mike’s mind spun, connecting the dots faster than he could comprehend. Alan, now a figure of unimaginable power, was free. And if Aarush had just encountered him, then it meant one thing. The target, the sole reason for Alan’s rage, was already within his grasp.
Mike: "Shit!" His breath caught in his throat as panic took over. "Then he must be doing something about Muzan right now... we have to stop him—"
Before he could even finish his sentence, Ace’s voice cut through the frantic energy with a calmness that bordered on unnerving.
Ace: "Stop?"
Mike snapped his head toward him, disbelief etched across his face.
Ace: "Stop what, Mike?" His voice carried a weight, not of doubt, but of hardened reality.
Manda stepped forward, his eyes cold, but his posture radiating a steady strength.
Manda: "Even after everything that's happened, you still want to try and stop him?"
Mike felt his frustration rise. Could they not see? Could they not understand the gravity of what Alan was doing? His fists clenched as he responded, his voice shaking with emotion. "What can we do… just lose Alan once again? We can’t let him go down this path—"
Manda: "Mike…" He stepped closer, her voice calm but firm. "We are weak. Accept it."
Mike froze, his words caught in his throat.
Manda: "We cannot do anything."
The silence that followed her words was suffocating. It wasn’t an admission of surrender but a brutal acknowledgment of reality. They were a fraction of what they once were. The destruction of their forces, their members falling one by one. The hard truth was staring them in the face, and it was undeniable.
Manda’s eyes never left Mike’s, and she continued, her voice soft but cutting through the tension like a knife.
Manda:"They have close to 200 members, and we? Barely 10, or even less."
Her words hung in the air, heavy with a truth that Mike had been unwilling to face. The Agiadds had numbers, resources, and power. But more than anything, they had unity. Something their group, fractured and broken, lacked.
Mike’s gaze dropped to the ground. The weight of responsibility that he had shouldered for so long now seemed unbearable. His heart ached, not just for Alan, but for everyone. For everything they had lost.
But then Manda’s tone shifted, and Mike looked up at her, confused. There was something in her expression—something he hadn’t seen in her for a long time. A flicker of hope.
Manda: "So?"
Mike blinked, unsure of what she was trying to say. "So?"
Manda crossed her arms, her eyes narrowing as she leaned slightly toward him. "I’ll tell you something, Mike. Something that might change how you’re seeing this situation."
