Chapter 5

CHAPTER 5 - Protective...?

Lucy.

I woke up early to take a shower, wanting to get to school earlier today. Even though the water was cold, I forced myself to go through with it. Sometimes, a cold shower feels refreshing. Other times, it doesn’t.

I checked the kitchen cabinet to see if we had any noodles left, but I didn’t find a single pack. Our stock was completely gone.

I sighed, deciding to skip breakfast. After drinking a glass of water to ease my hunger, I grabbed my bag.

I’ll just wait until break time to eat something later, and save money while I’m at it.

Inayos ko ang suot na uniform ko at chineck kung nasa bag ko na ba lahat na gamit ko, kinuha ko muna ang plastic folder ko na naglalaman ng ilang mga papel at manipis na esp book. Sinabit ko na sa braso ko ang bag ko at dinala ang plastic folder sa bisig ko.

Nilock ko lang pinto ng apartment bago ako lumabas sa gate. Binulsa ko naman ang susi ng apartment at naglakad na papunta sa kanto.

"Good morning."

I glanced around and saw that guy again, leaning against the wall as if he was waiting for someone. He was wearing his uniform, and his bag hung loosely over his shoulder.

"Oh?" Sagot ko.

Tinaasan niya ako ng kilay at lumapit sakin. "Where's my good morning?" Tanong niya sakin.

Inirapan ko siya. "Good morning. Happy?"

Nag smirk ito. "Yeah. Very happy." He was about to kiss my forehead when I pushed him away and stepped back.

"Nakailan kana ah! Alam mo bang pambabastos ang ginagawa mo ha!?" Singhal ko sa kaniya. "Dapat nagpapaalam ka kapag hahalik ka sa isang tao, tsaka bakit mo ba ako hahalikan? Bago lang tayo nagkakilala, kahapon lang! Tapos gaganiyan ka na."

"Where's the thrill if I ask for permission to kiss you, hmm?" He stepped closer, making me instinctively back away. "And I already told you last night that I like you, right? That's why I want to kiss you."

"Pero it doesn't mean na pede mo na akong halikan!" Tinulak ko ulit ito. " Bye, pupunta na ako sa school, wag kanang makulit!"

"Okay, let’s go to school together," he said, flashing a confident smile as if everything was already decided. Sumabay ito sakin sa paglalakad at kinuha ang bag ko. "This is heavy, you shouldn’t be carrying something this heavy." Akmang kukunin ko pabalik ang bag ko nang iniwas niya ito, at hinawakan ang kamay ko!

"Ano ba-" Hinigpitan niya iyun kaya di ko maalis.

Inirapan niya ako. "Wag kanang makulit."

"Sige na, alis kana." This guy is something else, isn't he? He actually walked me all the way to my classroom! I'm about to head in, though!

"Nope." I tried to stop him since I was about to enter. "Why?" he asked, looking at me with curiosity.

"Bawal ka dito. Sige na, punta kana sa room mo." Nakakahiya, bweset. Nandito na kasi ibang classmate namin, at pinagtitingin na kami, nagbubulungan pa sila.
