The front door opens into the entry foyer of the pack house. A short little boy comes running up to the man coming in the door. Alpha Cain just glances down at the eager boy, looking to obtain his father's affection. The cold blue eyes see through the boy, and with just a head pat, he walks around the boy and continues to his bedroom. Pack business has always been hard on the Alpha, and with the coalition from the other packs in the area, he feels drained and denies any need to care for his family.

The Luna looks at the boy, seeing his downtrodden face, and pats him on the head before guiding him into the dining room and sitting him down with some paper and pencils. The little boy smiles at his mother, his cerulean eyes cloud over before he starts to draw. Luna heads into the kitchen to talk to the house staff about dinner, making sure to tell them to set aside a serving and take it to the Alpha's room so Alpha can continue looking over documents before he goes to bed.

The week continues in the same pattern as the boy's eyes cloud over more each day. But it's the weekend tomorrow, and he can't wait to spend time with his siblings and show his Alpha the drawings he has made over the week. Early in the morning, his little sister crawls around on the floor, going from her room to the living room. A loud crash echos in the room while Edward, the only other early riser, runs out of his room to ensure everything is okay. He carries his sister to her room, which she shares with the other girls, and then starts to clean up the broken vase. The Omega staff member walks over to assist, but the Alpha's door slams open. The heated glare from the Alpha burns with a red hue as he marches to the boy.

"Edward, you know better than to leave your room before us. We are going to have to fix this. Got it!" He almost turns around, but the omega stumbles and moves out from infront of the broken pieces. "Really?" The glare intensifies as Abel moves forward in Cain's mind.

.....

Cain, this pup needs to be taught his place. Hopefully, the first will be an Alpha, and we can pass on this runt.

Hahaha. Able, you know, just want I am thinking. I couldn't have asked for a better wolf.

.....

A swift backhand slaps across Edward's face, his head jerks, and he crashes into the wall, leaving a dent. His consciousness fades as the taste of copper starts to permeate his mouth.

"You, Omega, clean this up and then take the runt to his room, then clean up this mess. As soon as he is up, make sure he comes to the training ground." With a swift turn, Cain returns to his room, and just before he slams the door closed, a striking glare that turns blood to ice hits the omega, making him whimper.

The sun reaches noon as Edwards exits the house and into the pack's training ground. Cain and the firstborn, Orion, are almost through their training as the pack's Beta, Kevin, drills the soldiers. Cain's eyes flash as he glances at little Edward leaving the pack house. Even though Edward has been up for the last hour, he has to get ready and remove all of the makeup one of his sisters decided to put on him before he could leave. If that wasn't bad enough, the prank got worse when they managed to get him in a dress, forcing him to change back into his workout clothes.

Orion strikes at Cain in the spar, trying to take advantage of his glance toward the runt of the family. A large fist catches his hand, throwing the boy into the stone wall surrounding the grounds.

A tremble strikes Edward as he glances at his father. The murderous glare and aura wrap around the Alpha as he walks toward the boy. A large hand clenches around the boy's neck as he is lifted into the air and brought to eye level.

"You slept in, and now here I find you just sauntering out with makeup and glitter on your face. What do you have to say for yourself?" His voice is rough and calloused, just like his hand that tightens on the boys' kneck.

His little legs kick around as he tries to answer his father's questions. Through a raspy, almost incoherent voice, all Edward could get out was, "...I tried to wash it off..."

A loud menacing growl rumbles from the Alpha's chest as he states, directly face to face, "I did not raise a faggot. So you better not be gay." With that, he is thrown across the whole training ground and slams into the wall, severely denting it and cracking his head.
