Second Part
After getting ready in the morning, while missing Justin the whole time, I try to track down Orion. I can't find his smell anywhere in the house. I have to talk to him before we see Alpha. I don't want to mix up how and what we tell them.
Unable to find Orion, I head to Alpha's office. Dad never lets us in here unless he calls for us. I hope he doesn't get mad. I stop and stare at the wall across from the office. A hole is in the wall, with some dried blood around it.
It was not until I knocked on the office door that I got a whiff of Orion's smell. My head snapped to the hole, shock evident on my face, and a feeling of impending doom clung to my shoulders as I turned back to the door. Father, Alpha Cain, glared at me.
"Again, you are an utter dissappointment. Nothing but a waste of air. I can't believe you are my offspring. Now I only have one male heir here. Fuck you for having Orion stand up for you. Get out of here. Go train ten times harder than before and ensure I don't see you for the rest of the week. Am. I. Understood?"
"Y-yes, Alpha." The door slamming in my face was the last thing I remember before I realized I was already at the training ground.
I went through my training regimen harder than I ever could. Fear and the feeling of letting down my dad echoed in my head as I continued running, punching, kicking, and moving through the forms. I worked through it ten times. The sun starts to fade as I return to the pack house. I'm mid-change when the pack announcement comes.
"All pack members, a notice has been posted in the Packhouse foyer. For those looking to interview for the Pack Beta position, submit inquiry applications before the end of day tomorrow. Platoon leader positions will be fill tomorrow morning. All squads are to be at the training ground in the morning to await the announcement. Alpha Orion Tony Kent of Kent pack denounced his position as first born this morning. Further, he will be stripped of the Sant Peter Coalition and will be listed as a Rogue for going against his Alpha." The shock and awe echoed throughout the pack house.
"Final notice: Tenzin, Bill, Rick, and Todd are stripped of their titles and all ensueing names. Their trial has been scheduled with the Elder council. Their families are retaining their names and not listed as rogues until a full investigation has been made. Report of Kevin Red's cause of death will be listed as well as his charges. Karen Red and her seven kids will be adopted by Council member Keith Peak of Kent Pack and maintain status as righteous pack members. End announcement."
I shudder and barely reach my room through the hazy fog, only to be slapped by Karen. Her red eyes glare at me. "You should be ashamed of yourself. You are the reason that Kevin lost his life. If it wasn't for you. None of this would have happened. You would be better off dead." With that, she strode away and disappeared.
Why is it always my fault? Should I have just let things happen and not said anything to anyone? I am a disappointment.
