Orion's POV
Time goes back just a bit to the night after they got back from their trip.
"Thanks, Benney. I'll let you know the verdict as soon as I get done done talking to my dad tonight."
"Dude, you just got back from the camp, and you think your dad will let you go if you stand up to him. He isn't known for being the most lenient. Even with all of that information you gathered when you got back."
"Well, that's why I will be heading out as soon as this is over. Not sure I can stick around after I kill Kevin anyway. Plus his lackies are lucky they can keep breathing because it will take all my strength to run from my dad."
"Dude, we have been friends since childhood when my family used to live in your pack. You can always come crash with me. But you seriously going to kill that guy?"
"That bastard deserves worse than death for causing my brother harm. He is lucky I didn't kill him when he was standing there looking my brother over like a pedo. His wife is no better, such a fake person always being 'holier than thou'."
"Dude, chill. Plan this out well and have everything ready to go. I'll see you soon."
I put the phone away as Benney hung up. I'm just glad his family got out of here. Now, to finalize the plan: get packed, grab essentials from the omegas in the kitchen, track down Kevin, and confront Cain and Abe.
After going through my room and packing what I needed from it and enough food to get to the Silver Crescent Pack, I think staying with Benney will be better than getting a place with Catherine; I just don't trust her completely.
I shake my head, getting rid of the thoughts of my kind of girlfriend, and back onto the topic of finding the slime ball. Even his scent smells sickly, like fermented fish and patchouli.
April stopped me in the hall. I wasn't planning on telling her anything, but she stopped me. So, I might as well.
"April, I may not be around for a bit. Something came up that has been happening to Ed, and I have to confront dad and Kevin about it."
"Okay. Call me when you get where you are going. I'll make sure Ed stays okay while I'm around. Dad normally forces him out to train while I'm stuck inside learning from Mom and the females from the council. I should be going away for school soon anyway."
I'm glad April understands me. We have never had to say much to each other; we can always just read between the lines. "I'll be back in a few years when Ed turns 17."
"Okay. Kill whoever hurt Ed. I know Meagan and Olivia don't care much about Ed. Keep in touch." That said, April just turned around and walked down the hall. Not turning around, she descended the stairs towards the front entrance.
Striding through the hallways, I search for Kevin until the last place left is Dad's office. I guess it's time for two at once.
...nock...nock...
Dad's booming voice calls out through the door, "Just come in already and get it done. We are a bit busy here."
I open the door to find Dad behind his desk, a stack of papers scattered, and Kevin standing in front of it. Perfect.
"Dad, I wanted to talk to you about a few things that came to my attention - "Can it wait?" -Not really, this is really important." Stupid bastard Kevin is interrupting me already. Oh, this is going to be good.
"Alright, Orion, just knock that smirk off your face. Kevin, wait outside, this will be just a moment. Now Orion, why are you here?"
I have to shake my head at Dad quickly. "Oh, there's no need to send Kevin out. I need his input on this matter as well." With a wave of his hand, Dad keeps Kevin in the room. "It came to my attention that there have been a lot of cases of sexual abuse and assault happening lately, I know we need to nip this in the bud before it gets out of hand."
"Oh Orion, don't you think your father and I would have known about it if something like this were to be happening? Where did you ever here such an outlandish tale."
"Kevin, don't you know? I was pretty sure you know exactly what is happening. You are the one that caused Ed to pass out. Aren't you?"
"Kevin, what is he talking about?" Dad's aura seemed to grow as his presence became increasingly menacing. Abe's silver hue flashed in his eyes. "Yes, Kevin, do tell."
Kevin's brows break out in a cold sweat as he is stared down at by Cain and Abe.
"Uh, well, not sure what the whole story is. Just that Edward may be dealing with some stuff from pack members." His shoulders shrug, probably trying to be calm about the whole matter.
"That's re-heh-he-eally interesting. Especially after everything I found out when I got back from camp. You would not believe how many people here were trying to cover up for you but spilled the beans with just a few lightly broken bones." Cain's eyes flash towards me as I stop talking.
"Stop. Did you really attack pack members? What am I going to do with you?"
"Oh, they are all in the cells, waiting for you to interrpgate them and find out for yourself what they know. But Kevin here seems to really like degrading Ed, while he is using him as his own pleasure toy. Right Kevin?"
Kevin's eyes flash as his wolf, Teddy, comes forward for a second. Anger was evident on his face. "That little faggot slut had it coming. Plus, with the great care Cain was giving Edward. How else was he supposed to know that it shouldn't be happening? That whore loves taking my knot. I can't -"
"Shut up, Kevin. You will stand trial before the council. You used my own child?" Abe's control grew over Cain. As his booming voice came forward, his fangs and claws grew.
All I can do is glare at Cain/Abe as their incomprehension for what they did wrong to Ed still didn't get brought up. "You can go to hell yourself Abe. Both of you treat him like nothing, have others punish him for not being good enough. Fuck you! And you Kevin, you will die. No trial for you."
Seconds after saying this, Orion shifts into his wolf, Baloo, and a massive black wolf with ochre eyes lunges at Kevin, ripping his throat out with its jaws. With no struggle, Kevin's body crumbles to the floor, and Orion is standing over his body.
It took seconds for Cain and Abe to know what happened before yelling at me. "You have to stand trial for murder now. You will be lucky if I can get you off for being my son."
"Fuck you! I will not stand trial for killing the rapist. You can cope with that." Just after finishing, a fist connects with my head, flinging me across the room and into the bookshelves.
"Go to your room. I will be denouncing you until after your trial." Cain takes control back and immediately looks at his documents. He is probably telling someone to take care of Kevin's body.
Getting up from the floor, I hold my cheek, glaring at Alpha, and walk towards the door. As the doors close behind me, my anger spikes at his lack of care for his youngest son. Through the haze, my fist connects with the wall, ripping open the skin that covers my knuckles.
Well, time to go!
