RWBY: Grimm Slayer Fragments (Male Reader x RWBY)

Blake (Part 1)

During Grimm studies class, the attention of Team RWBY+Y/N varies when it comes to listening to Port's lecture on the distinction between regular adult Grimm and their Alpha variants.

Port: "Alpha Grimm hunt alone, while the regular ones do not. But that usually wouldn't be the case as there are a few times Alphas take on the role of 'leaders'. So, you must remain cautious of your surroundings upon defeating a single Grimm or multiple of them until you are absolutely sure you're safe."

Ruby is doing her best to not sleep through this lecture. Weiss is writing down everything the professor is saying. Blake only writes down the crucial parts of the lesson. While Yang is starting to become bored and just focus her gaze on the clock. As for Y/N, he's just writing down brief notes on the lecture and pondering to himself. 

Y/N: ("Alpha Grimm taking the role of leaders... so revolting...")

The bell rung, indicating that this class have concluded.

Port: "Class dismissed." 

As instructed, students begin getting off their seats and exiting the classroom. 

Y/N: ("Welp. Time for lunch. Wonder what the lunch ladies got cooking up-")

He's disrupted when the moment he quickly leaves his seat, he accidentally bumps into Blake, who was just about to leave her desk. This results in Blake falling to the floor along with her bag, spilling its contents as well. Realizing what just occurred, the apologetic Y/N turns to the fallen teammate.

Y/N: "Oh gods, Blake! Are you alright?"

Wincing a tiny a bit, the cat Faunus answers back.

Blake: "I'm fine... But you shouldn't get out of your seat so fast." 

Y/N: "I know! I'm really sorry! Here, let me help you..."

As he said this, he stands on one knee and starts picking up the spilled contents like papers, pencils, a handbook, and a spare bow. Panicking at this, the collapsed Blake immediately retorts and quickly start picking them up and her bag herself.

Blake: "N-No! It's fine, really!" 

Y/N: "It's no issue, Blake." ("Although, I have to wonder why I don't see a lot of students carrying bags around. How else do they carry their stuff? Then again, I lost my duffel bag to a fox Grimm during my travel. Rest in pieces, bag.")

As he grabs a good number of it, he notices a book that doesn't appear to be a textbook or a notebook on the floor. 

Y/N: ("This is a fiction book. I can see the blurb on the cover and... Oh. Is this...?")

He was about to grab this book until an embarrassed Blake swiftly snatches it off the floor along with everything else he was holding. 

Y/N: "Blake...?"

The black bow wearing girl put her stuff in her bag and begins hightailing it out of the classroom, following after her teammates and peers. Lingering in the classroom with a few others, Y/N stare after her before leaving his sight.

Y/N: ("Aaaaand I may have screwed up a little bit... way to go, me.")

He mentally sighs to himself for that tiny mistake as he just departs from the classroom and make his way to the school cafeteria. 

(A Few Minutes Later)

Casually sitting at their table across each other, Ruby and Yang are talking about the two new weapon magazines they've gotten with Team JNPR. Ruby has Lock'd n Loaded while Yang has Top Arms as the two discuss about whether they should implement some modifications in Cresent Rose and Ember Celica. Sitting next to Yang, Y/N is glad that they're not holding the whole "slander investigation with Weiss" situation against him and spoke to him like nothing happened.
