RWBY: Grimm Slayer Fragments (Male Reader x RWBY)

Coco & Velvet

With classes over for the day, the first-year students go their separate ways to do whatever they want. Train, study, relax, hang out somewhere in Beacon or Vale. In one of the school's vacant hallways, Y/N and Blake are conversing as he hands her a book. 

Y/N: "Thanks for letting me borrow this book, Blake."

Blake: "No problem. Velvet lends this to me a few days ago. It was quite pleasant to read."

With a chuckle, the smiling Y/N comments.

Y/N: "Hm, seems like you and Velvet are becoming buddies now."

A little embarrassed, the cat Faunus rub her elbow to her other arm, holding her book. 

Blake: "I... wouldn't go that far. Though, we have already been acquainted with her and her teammates for a while now."

Y/N: "True, but it is nice to know you're getting along with her." 

Blake: "I suppose so."

Y/N: ("Which means I could ask her to take me to Coco's whereabouts aka their dorm room.")

With this in mind, Y/N then asks his teammate.

Y/N: "Say, where is Velvet anyway? You know where she is?"

Blake: "Eh? Oh, uhm... I think she's likely outside of campus at the moment."

Y/N: "Really now?"

Blake: "Yep. She tends to hang out in the school gardens or near the docking bays. To relax and take pictures in the afternoons, according to her."

Y/N: "I see." ("I'll try the second location first. It's much closer to me anyway.")

Blake: "But there's a chance she could just be in her room. So, why do you wanna know this, Y/N?"

With a shrug, he answers back. 

Y/N: "Ah, I just need to ask her and Coco something, considering their both upperclassmen."

Perking a brow, she asks him. 

Blake: "And that would be...?"

Y/N: "Something that might help our team if this goes well. Possibly even stop our team leader and Ice Queen from feuding."

Blake: "Oh... then good luck with that."

Y/N: "Heh. Thanks."

He then jogs through the hall as he waves goodbye to his Faunus teammate.

Y/N: "Bye Blake!" 

Staring after him, Blake just waves back before he leaves her sight by rounding a corner. She then turns around and walk off with her book close to her chest. She ponders if she should help him out, considering the predicament their team is currently in. However, she brushes these thoughts aside, thinking that she doesn't have to get involved and this will resolve itself eventually. 

Blake: ("And if Y/N wants to keep being a team player, then I have no reason to stop him...")

(Some Minutes Later)

Exiting the amphitheater via the school's main doorway, Y/N is at the courtyard as he presses on with his jogging. Rounding the school's sole statue, Y/N heads over to the aerial docking bays as the concrete pavement he's passing through consist of several trees, bushes and some benches surrounding it. But as he draws near, Y/N can't seem to find his bunny upperclassman as he looks around his surroundings.

Y/N: ("Darn it, I can see head or ears of her anywhere.")

His train of thought is interrupted when he hears a familiar voice.
