Today was the first day of Third grade for Hadley. She was extremely happy but also scared. Hadley had no idea if she would make new friends or if she would be lonely like she was at the orphanage. Hadley had goals to make friends today and, if she didn't then she would make them tomorrow.

Hadley was woken up by Sarah. Sarah helped Hadley get ready, Hadley had decided to wear a new dress she had gotten the day before. Hadley had eaten breakfast after she was done getting ready. Eric had already left for work so it was just Sarah and Hadley. After Hadley was done eating, Sarah and Hadley headed to the school that Hadley was going to be learning at until she was about 12.

Sarah and Hadley talked the whole way there. They talked about Hadley wanting to make new friends, they talked about how Hadley was fitting in with their family as it had been almost two months sine Hadley had moved in with them. Hadley was living her best life with being with Eric and Sarah, that she hoped that they wouldn't change or one day want to give her back to the orphanage.

When they got to the school, Sarah dropped off Hadley as she had known where to go. Hadley was given a tour of the school a week before they started so she didn't need help. Hadley said goodbye to Sarah as she got out of Sarah's car. When Hadley noticed all the kids, she had gotten a little nervous but knew she could do this.

As Hadley entered the schoolyard, she saw groups of children chatting and laughing. She took a deep breath and walked towards her classroom. Inside, colorful decorations filled the room, and the teacher, Mrs. Thompson, greeted her with a warm smile. "Welcome, Hadley! Find a seat, and we'll get started soon."

Hadley chose a desk near the window and began organizing her supplies. Just then, a couple of girls walked by and snickered. "Nice dress," one of them said sarcastically. Hadley felt her cheeks flush with embarrassment. She looked down at her desk, wishing she could disappear.

"Don't mind them," a voice said softly. Hadley looked up to see a girl with curly brown hair and kind eyes standing next to her. "I'm Lily. Can I sit here?"

Hadley nodded, grateful for the friendly face. "I'm Hadley. Nice to meet you."

As the morning went on, Hadley and Lily chatted during breaks. They discovered they both loved reading and playing volleyball. Hadley told Lily that she loved horses and, had always wanted one. Lily told Hadley about her favorite book, and Hadley shared stories about her summer adventures, and being with her new family.

During lunch, they sat together in the cafeteria. "Do you want to play on the swings after we eat?" Lily asked.

"That sounds fun!" Hadley replied, feeling the nervousness of the morning melt away.

While they played, the girls who had made fun of Hadley earlier walked by again. This time, Hadley didn't feel so alone. She had made a new friend who stood by her. As they laughed and swung higher, Hadley realized that the first day of school wasn't so scary after all, especially with a friend like Lily by her side.

After school Hadley walked to Sarah's car. As she got into Sarah's car, Sarah had asked Hadley how her first day of school was. "Hey honey, how was your first day of School?" Sarah asked Hadley.

"It was great, these girls made fun of my dress but, then a girl came up to me and had talked to me. We even sat at lunch together and, talked all day too." Hadley told Sarah.

"That's amazing honey." Sarah replied, happy her daughter was making new friends and getting used to a new School. The rest of the drive home Sarah and Hadley talked about random things, they also talked about having a movie night after having dinner.

When Eric got home from work, they all sat down for dinner. They talked about Hadley's first day of school, and also how she had met Lily. Eric talked about how work was doing and how his day went. After they got done eating, they started setting up the living room for the movie night that they had all agree would happen at least once a week. Each movie night they took turns on who got to pick what movie, as tonight it was Sarah's turn. Sarah picked the movie Finding Nemo as it was her favorite even being 26 years old.

Some time during the movie, Hadley had cuddled up to Eric and falling asleep. Eric had noticed this and had pointed it out to Sarah. Both parents were so happy to finally have a child of their own after years of trying but not getting anything. After the movie ended, Eric took Hadley up to her room and tucked her in. Everyone went to bed content with what their little family had become. They also had no idea that through out the years being together so many things would happen to this family that would make this family even happier and stronger.

Heyyy guys here's a new chapter for A tale of two. I hope to start writing this book more and more because I'm really excited to start this book and write it. I also want to say that there might not be much conversations, I'm not 100% sure just for some reason picturing everything I just dont see conversations but I will make sure to attempt to get conversations in instead of just having writing. I also plan to have a chapter up at least once every week.

Buttt anyway thank you for reading and I hope you enjoy.
