a/n | i know exactly how im going to end this book
Jing Yuan and Dan Heng both brought her to an empty room within Dan Heng’s estate. There was an empty chair and a desk with a flask of liquid resting on it. She immediately started to panic as she was taken into the room.
“What are you two going to do? Let me go, let me go now!”
She was moved to the chair and forced to sit down. It did feel good not to be on her feet anymore, but she would much rather not be here than anywhere else.
Blade, where are you? Was he even back from the store yet? Did he even know that I was gone? What if he thinks I ran away?
Fear ebbed away at you.
“Open her mouth, Dan Heng.”
She turned her head away, “what are you two going to do to me?!”
Jing Yuan chuckled softly as he grabbed the flask with the weird colored liquid within it, “I told you that everything was going to be taken care of, remember? It’ll be as if none of this ever happened.
Dan Heng forcefully grabbed her cheeks and turned her head to look back at them. His fingers easily pried her mouth open. And no matter how hard she struggled, he was just too strong. Tears started to prick the corner of her eyelids as Jing Yuan opened the flask.
“All you need to do is relax, y/n.”
The events that led up to now will be nothing but a bad nightmare. Everything that you and Blade did together will be some silly dream. And all the hurt and pain that has been caused to you will be nothing but fiction.”
He tipped the flask, and the liquid fell right into her mouth and down her throat. The liquid felt cool yet had a burning sensation. It hurt to drink it, but Dan Heng easily kept her from spitting it out when he shut her mouth closed.
“Swallow.”
She had no choice but to do as she was told, and when she consumed it all, Dan Heng’s grip immediately became tender and soft. His face resembled that of the Dan Heng she knew before all of this had ever happened.
“What Jing Yuan says is true. After the liquid circulates through you completely… everything that has happened so far will be a part of your pure imagination. And we will be able to start over from scratch. Just you and me… and Jing Yuan. Granted, I didn’t want his presence anywhere near you, but some sacrifices have to be made.”
“My imagination,” you managed to murmur.
She didn’t want to forget, though. Not about Blade. Not him. She didn’t want him to be a part of her pure imagination.
