My body jolted forward so i was pressed against the seat belt a little to tightly, but surprisingly it didn't hurt as bad as it was supposed to. My head fell to the side and hit the the glass with a painful crack. There was no air bag to press me against the chair so i wouldn't of hit my head which meant it'd be something i'd have to bring up later. If i survived this.

I slowly lifted my head so i wouldn't feel more dizzy than i already did and looked around at Ace and Lisa. They looked the same as me but didn't look as bad, and i soon realised why they looked so much better than me. It was because a car we didn't notice ran into the side of the car that i was in, we forgot to notice the dirt road that i figured was hidden.

"Ace! Katelyn hasn't completed her transition, her wounds won't heal as fast as ours do and she's going to be in a lot of pain" Lisa actually didn't sound like she was in any pain, i scrunched my eyebrows in confusion but eased up when it caused more pain.

Ace looked at me, quickly un did his seatbelt and got out of the car. I turned my head to see the car that ran into us and saw no one in it. I heard a noise from towards the back of the car but when my ears adjusted I could clearly hear what everyone was saying.

"Get the angels to form a circle" Ace spoke. "We need to protect our elders"

"We're already on it"

Moments later, I saw Ace push the car out of the way then he opened the door and was at my side. His blue eyes were full of worry as he tenderly touched the wound on my head. I flinched. He quickly bought his hand back and I saw the blood on his fingers. The sight of a lot of my own bloody caused me to go dizzy and he held to help me stay upright.

I saw on his head a small bump forming but besides that he had no marks. He made a move to lift me out but when I winced in pain he stopped. Ace lifted up my shirt to see an ugly bruise forming on the side of my stomach. "I'm fine" I reasurred him when he gave me another worried look.

He began to again lift me out of the car and this time he was successful although the whole time I was containing my screams of pain. He carried me around the car bridal style and got to see the scene. A circle of death dealers were huddled around a group of whom I assumed were the elders. All the angels had their wings out protectively and they were all as beautiful as Ace's. They flapped around in the wind causing small noises, that would be peaceful if we weren't in this situation.

"Ace. Put me down" I said.

"You're hurt" He murmed as he too was looking at the war that was about to happen. No one was making the first move. My father was no where in sight but I saw his followers inching closer, although not moving.

"I can walk" I insisted.

Ace hesitated for a moment before slowly setting me on my feet. The world spun for a bit and Ace had to grab my shoulder to help me gain my balance but after that I was fine. When Ace saw I was in a steady position, he let go and his wings unfolded from behind him. Even though I saw them before, it was like I was seeing them for the first time.

I did have my wings, but I didn't know how to unfold them. So, Ace stood protectively in front of me. He was a foot taller than me and his black wings were blocking my view.

"I can't see anything" I whispered.

"You don't need to see anything" Lissa said from behind me. I turned my head and saw she had her wings out too. I felt so out of the loop.

"It's my father, of course I do"

Ace heard what I said. "Step around me and stand in front of me" He ordered.

Lissa gave me a short smile before joining the death dealers around the elders. I stood in front of Ace and heard his breathing from my enhanced hearing. It was steady and calm, unlike mine which was fast and scared. My head hurt, there was a throbbing in my head and it was careful not to miss a section of my brain.
