It was like once I reached the park. He sensed my presence, but I guess after years of friendship, you can feel your friend being near. Matt looked over his shoulder as I stepped out of the car and was tackled to the ground. I stiffled a laugh and leaned against the car with Ace and Lisa standing on either side of me.

Matt held up a finger, signalling he would be over in a second. I nodded and smiled.

"I don't think I can do this" I shook my head. Despite my profound powers, my hands were shaking like crazy and my mind was spinning. This was it. Matt who was my bestfriend, who was there for me through thick and thin, was now going to be a stranger.

"Just do what we told you to do" Lisa tried to tell me in a soothing tone.

"You'll be fine" Ace whispered.

"No it's not me. Matt's been my best friend for as long as I can remember" I said in a quiet voice as my eyes never left him.

"It's hard I know but it's not only for your benefit Kate, it's for Matt's safety" Lissa said.

Tears sprung to my eyes. it was a sudden movement, one I didn't call for but it was expected and understandable. I mean, I was saying good bye to my best friend forever. I struggled to contain my emotions as I watched Matt walk over with a careless smile. His blonde hair shone in the shining sun, his blue eyes brightly contrasting to his tan skin and his pearly white toothed smile made me realise what I was giving up.

"No I can't" I shook my head and turned around.

Ace moved beside me. "Lisa can do it"

"I don't want him to forget me!" I exclaimed. Matt wasn't close enough to hear me but Lisa and Ace still looked around wearily. "You know how much that would hurt?"

Lisa sighed. "You're right but the only alternative is that he comes with us and he's your responsibility"

But then I thought of the danger I was going to put him in if I was to bring him with me. He would have to leave his old life as a normal person and I didn't want that to happen to him just because I would be hurt.

As he continued to walk over I saw his face slowly turn from confused to alarmed. I guess it was because I now had a panicked face and had two complete strangers- well to him, beside me. He began to speed up his pace till he was jogging but at that exact moment, I saw two men in the most obvious black suits and had the most suspicious faces start to follow him.

I stepped forward but Ace's hand wrapped around my arm and he jerked me back. I looked at him with my mouth wide-open.

"You know who they are!" I raised my voice, not really caring who heard.

"We can't raise suspicions" He whispered harshly. "They won't do anything to him, but once we get back he'll be a top priority"

"Lisa?" I begged with my eyes.

She shook her head and I felt defeated. "Sorry but Ace is right"

That led to me, standing with Ace and Lisa feeling helpless even though I was the potentially the most powerful out of them both. The two men seized Matt by the arms and began to pull him along to a car parked not far from Ace's, with a normal pace. My breathing became heavy and the '666' lines, etched into my wrists began to burn. I looked down at them and quickly covered it with my hand.

"We need to get you away from here before you do any damage" Ace whispered.

"Let me just watch them drive away" I whispered back but more harshly. I saw him flinch and I felt guilty. "Sorry"

Ace nodded. "It's okay"

My jaw clenched and my fists balled up as they forcefully pushed Matt into the back of the car. My hands began shaking as I closed my eyes and tried to see what it was like in the car. But, when it felt like I was almost in there, I was pushed out. My eyes flew open and I gasped.

"What?" Lisa asked, alarmed.

"I tried to see inside but it was like I was pushed out" I answered. I felt more angry than ever.

Ace cursed. "They've surrounded themselves with Angel wards"

Oh wasn't that just wonderful. How was I supposed to kill those son's of- totally inappropriate Kate. But I couldn't help but imagine twisting the bodies and turning them inside out. I honestly coudn't keep my anger in check and I knew I would do something that we would all regret. The car drove away and I saw the change in speed as they drove past us. It was like they slowed down just enough for Ace, Lisa and I to notice. And oh did we notice.

"Let's go" Lisa whispered so quietly, I had to thank my supernatural hearing for helping me out.

"Kate, come on" Ace grabbed my hand causing a surge of electricity to course up my arm. I quickly pulled away with a gasp and stared at him wide-eyed.

"What the hell was that?"

His eyes dropped and I saw him rub his hands together. "I don't know, did I hurt you?"

I shook my head.

"Okay good, now let's go" This time he didn't grab my hand, and it didn't matter how much I wished he did, I didn't let it show on my face or in my body language.

Ace first got in the car before Lisa and I did and just before she did, she gave me a wink. "What?" I asked.

Lisa shook her head. "You'll find out sooner rather than later"

I pursed my lips. Now I had another problem to deal with on top of the fact that a bunch of dickheads just kidnapped my best friend and I couldn't go get him straight away. Oh and I also still had to get accustomed to pair of wings that were urging to come out. I just needed to learn how to let them out so for now I had to ignore the throbbing feeling in between my shoulder blades.

"He is definitely at the top of our priorities list but we can not go rushing into her father's chambers unprepared!" The table was long. It stretched too many metres and on one end sat an elder with wrinkles of wiseness. We all bowed our heads a bit as he raised his tone and didn't make eye contact with him.

I met him a few hours ago. When Ace, Lisa and I arrived, they introduced me to him almost straight away. There was a certain tension between us as I was kind of the "devil's daughter" but he did tell me that he respected the bravery I've had throughout my years. He also payed his respects to my mother who he said was a treasured soldier in his army of angels and it put a smile on my face. Just imagining what my mother was like here, caused happiness.

We shook hands and he promised me that very soon I would be training and that very soon we would find my best friend. He told me that it was about time the hell rats- and yes those were his precise words, were taught a lesson.

"Sir shall I devise a plan or do you wish to?" That was Argon. The leader of the angel army. Ace told me he was probably the most respected man, besides Kyros, the elder of all elders, an ex leader of the angel army and one of the best known saviours of both humans and angels.

"I will begin the plan while you train Katelyn then once she knows the basics, Ace can take over and both you and I will finish the plan" Kyros looked at Argon, Ace and I while he said it.

"Yes sir" Both Argon and Ace nodded.

"Alright everyone, a human is under the control of John and we do not tolerate this sort of business let alone any of this business. I want everyone to be smart and diligent and to focus and be alert. In a few days we will have another meeting to update each other"

Oh boy, I just arrived, I didn't know anything or anyone. And we were already planning an ambush?
