Taehyung did not visit Jimin that night. In fact, he went home right away. He drank. So much. Too much. Waking up with the worst headache once again, he picks up his phone to check the time. 6am. Great. He woke up half an hour before his alarm. He tries to close his eyes again but it's no use, he isn't gonna fall asleep. It's Tuesday and Taehyung has to work again. He gets up tiredly, immediately taking a pain killer. Taehyung learns from past mistakes. At least when it comes to hangovers.

It's quiet. The only sound being heard is the aggressive scrubbing of his toothbrush and the crackling foam that is accumulating in his mouth. Zoning off into his reflection as his hand is repeating the steady motion.

Wait.

It's Tuesday?
It's Tuesday.

He stops moving his hand.

Jungkook.

Taehyung lets out a deep sigh. There is no way Jungkook still feels like talking to him after whatever that was. He looked so pissed. Taehyung does not know what to think. He knows Jungkook dislikes him. Or does he? At times he is sure they are doing fine. But then it all crashes down on him. It's hot and cold. Black and white. Though to him, it's grey. Is grey good enough for Jungkook to show up today?

He chuckles bitterly as he spits out the toothpaste. Dream on.

It's 10am and more and more orders are to be served. The smell of coffee is both comforting yet melancholic to Taehyung. He feels anxious. Uneasy. Impatient. Checking the door one too many times "Are you expecting someone?" Wooshik slides towards his friend smoothly, as he sweeps his hands from the counter to his shoulder, ending his question with a raise of his left eyebrow.

"Hm?" Taehyung is busy refilling the espresso machine with fresh coffee beans. "Why are you looking over to the door so much? Are you waiting for someone?" he asks more casually while wiping the powder-like coffee remains off the counter. "No" Taehyung lies. Is he lying? Is he expecting Jungkook? No. Is he hoping Jungkook will show up? Maybe.

Is the answer 'maybe'? No.
It's 'yes'.

He does want the cute looking guy to stroll through the door. Smiling up at him. The genuine smile he gets to see too rarely.

The smile he had turned upside down the  last time they met.

"Taehyung, there's a customer" his friend nudges him out of his trance making him turn around hastily and apologize. Wooshik goes back to cleaning the counter and the machine.

It's 14:00 o'clock. Break. Finally? Well, to be honest, Taehyung has never dreaded a break more. It's 2pm. Jungkook is supposed to show up at 3. And to be fair, Taehyung doesn't want to know what happens then. No. Of course he wants to know.

Though he is terrified to find out. All day he had been busy speculating and turning down any speck of hope bubbling inside of him. He is so sure Jungkook is not going to walk through that door. He would've maybe texted him first. He would've asked him if the plan is still on. Like last time. You know?

God. He doesn't know. He doesn't know anything. He doesn't want to know anything. He reaches out to grab a cigarette. Ever since he has met Jungkook, his urge to smoke has increased significantly. It's not a good thing. Jungkook overwhelms him. It's not Jungkook per se, it's the entire situation regarding the younger. His feelings?

For fucks sake does he have feelings for him?
Even if? Does Jungkook like men? Taehyung has been doubting his instincts. Jungkook confuses him. He makes him feel like his mother. But in such a different way. It's the same but a different kind. The feelings they evoke in him are in fact opposite. But they make him react similarly. He doubts himself. He feels insecure. And anxious. So anxious.
