Reginald Hargreeves smirked evilly as he watched Number Five dash out of his office. Life had been certainly good for the boy these past five years. He was normal as any person his age.
It was pathetic.
Reginald opens one of his top draws in his desk and pulls out a black burner flip phone he had for certain businesses. He opens the phone and speed dials the only phone number programmed into the phone.
The line rings twice before a sweet soft voice answers. "Yes, my love?"
"We've got him." Is all Reginald says.
A soft chuckle sings in his ear. "And the girl?"
"I will get her to you as soon as possible." He tells her.
"Wonderful."
Reginald loved how bloodthirsty this woman was. She was as hot-blooded as he was cold-blooded.
He gets back to their conversation. "Would you like me to meet you at our original place?"
"Yes."
"Wonderful," Reginald replies before ending the call. He puts the phone back in his desk before getting up. He buttons up his suit jacket and makes his way out of his office.
Stepping out, he turns to his secretary. "Hold all my calls and cancel my meetings for the rest of the day."
"Yes, sir." The woman stutters with a look of nervousness on her face. She hated her job and was fucking scared of her employers, but it paid good money; even if she had to turn a deaf ear and eye at times.
"Make sure the building is locked up before you leave," Reginald demands before heading to the elevator without waiting for an answer.
In the elevator, he sticks his hand in his jacket pocket and pulls out a small key that could have gone to a locket. Instead, Reginald pops one side of the elevator panel that held the buttons and reveals a secret keyhole to override the elevator. He inserts the key and turns it to the right. Another hidden pocket in the panel pops open to reveal a button that is labeled, "basement". Reginald presses the button and the elevator stutters for a couple of seconds before it begins its descent.
All the way down to the hidden basement, Reginald tries to think of ways to keep the children in the places he and Allison had picked for them. He needed to make sure they wouldn't try to ruin his perfect utopia.
The wonderful thing was that he had Abigail, his soulmate and other half, with him once more. He hated being separated from her all those years, sending her up to space when the children were born on October 1st, 1980.
A ding and a woman's automated voice saying, "You have arrived at the basement.", pulls Reginald from his happy thoughts. The elevator doors screech open and he steps out and struts his way down the cement block hallway that had nothing but a metal door at the end.
Reginald opens the metal door and steps through the doorway. A light blinks on and reveals an interrogation room with Allison Chestnut and Number Five's wife strapped to a metal chair in it.
"I'll take it from here," Reginald commands. "You may take your leave."
Allison nods, and takes one last nervous glance, as though she almost didn't want to leave the poor girl with Reginald, done with no way out.
But then her face hardens and her eyes grow cold. This girl was the only way to break Five. He was the reason for everything that had gone wrong since he came back in his teenage body.
Allison leaves.
The second Allison leaves, Reginald turns to Number Five's wife. The girl whimpers at the cold stare Reginald gives her. He steps right up to her and she flinches back.
