Moving Along With the Plans

Diego slowly rolls the car up into the driveway in front of the house he lives in with Lila, who is pregnant with their first child. It has been a few weeks since Luther and Klaus showed up at their doorstep, just like they did at Five's.

Diego heaves out a sigh as he pushes on the brake on the car and puts it into park. He then turns the key, shutting the engine off. For some reason, all he could do at the moment was stare into space. They had gotten Five's help. The person, who hated getting into family drama. But Diego guessed, now that Five had a family of his own, things were going to be different. Which was nice. Five rarely showed just how much he cared for his siblings.

All of a sudden, Klaus' face is right next to Diego's. "Um, not that I don't love these quiet moments, just sitting here in the car, but are we going to go inside at some point?" He then gives Diego a puppy-dog pout and rubs his stomach. "Tummy's getting kind of hungry. And you know how I get when I don't eat?"

Diego sighs and rolls his eyes. "Yeah. Bitchy." He then rips the keys from the ignition and shoves his way out of the driver's seat. He slams the driver's door and storms inside the house.

Luther looks over at Klaus with a scolding look on his face. Klaus gives Luther an innocent smile. "Do you always have to set him off?"

Klaus puts a hand on his chest. "Ex-squeeze me! I am the innocent one here!"

Luther can't help but roll his eyes as well at his brother. He kind of wishes he had stayed with Five and his family. The guy seemed nicer now that he had a wife and a kid to mellow him out. Klaus and Diego were far too different to stay together in one place for too long. And it was starting to show.

Luther gets out of the car finally. He almost wants to slam his car door as well but then Klaus would have no way out. And he wasn't that heartless. He wasn't their father. But he can slam the seat down if he wants. "Let's go, Klaus."

Klaus sighs and murmurs under his breath, "Why is it always me?" It is times like these that he wishes he had Ben at his side again. Even the asshole one.

Klaus follows Luther out of the car and they both make their way into Diego's house. The house wasn't a house. It was a two-bedroom apartment. But according to Lila, it was a house. They step inside and are greeted by a sullen Diego sitting in a forest green recliner chair with a bottle of beer in one hand and a TV remote in the other. Diego gives both Luther and Klaus a scowl before turning his attention back to the TV, which was playing a boxing match between two very muscly guys beating the shit out of each other. They already had bruises and cuts all over their faces, and yet, they were still punching each other. It was making the crowd that surrounded the square ring go crazy.

Luther gives Diego a strained smile before joining him in the living area on the couch. He is then handed a beer by Lila, whose smile is also strained. Klaus motions to Luther silently that he would join Lila in the kitchen. He may not be able to cook for shit, but he knew how to chop and dice. Klaus had gotten a few lessons while in the army from the cook when he couldn't find time to spend with Dave. He follows Lila into the kitchen.

Lila immediately spins around to face him, her baby bump almost hitting Klaus. "What the hell did you guys do this time to piss Diego off?"

Klaus scoffs while trying to play innocent. "Why do you always think it was us and not Diego's fault?"

Lila rolls her eyes. "Like I'll actually believe that."

Klaus relents. "I guess I'm still just as annoying to Diego as always." Klaus runs a hand through his hair, which had gotten longer. He hadn't felt like cutting it just yet. Maybe once they got the whole family together. "Sorry."
