        THE SOUND OF SIZZLING AND THE SMELL OF SEASONED SMOKE FILLED THE APARTMENT AS HYUNJIN GRILLED A VARIETY OF MEATS AND VEGETABLES FOR DINNER. Next to him, Felix hummed along to the music playing from their speaker as he prepared diffrent banchan. Shrimp paste free kimchi, kongnamul muchin— seasoned bean sprouts, oi muchin— spicy cucumber salad, and gamja jorim— roasted potatoes.

Across from them on the other side of the kitchen, Myra let out a sigh as she mixed together the ingredients she needed for blueberry muffins. The batter began to thicken as she added the wet and dry ingredients together, but her mind was else where as her movements became robotic and subconscious. Her sapphire eyes were glued to her phone screen as she read over the reviews of her newly released song. A lot of it was positive feedback, but there was a few negative ones that seemed to stand out the most.

'Eighteen-year-old wannabe hopes to make it in the music industry, but can't even write a decent song'.

'Myra Moon is not worth your time.'

'Catchy, but lacking emotion and realism.'

'I bet her soulmate would be disappointed.'

'She doesn't understand what good music is.'

'Horrible, awful, disgraceful.'

'What a flop.'

'She should've stuck with her old style.'

'Myra Moon needs to go back to Appleton where she belongs. Little Miss Apple needs to go home.'

'Not even her soulmate would like this.'

'I was a fan, but not anymore.'

Sucking in a shaky breath, the brunette failed to notice how her grip tightened on the wooden spoon and her knuckles turned white. Tears began to well up in her eyes, threatening to spill over as anxiety tightened its grip around her chest. Her legs trembled beneath her, arms shaking uncontrollably, and her lipgloss covered lips quivered. A sniffle escaped her as she fought to hold back the wave of emotion consuming her.
