Rule #1 of Pushing Weight in Prison: Trust.
First off, you gotta know who's down for you in this bitch. That's rule number one. Trust. It's rare, but I been locked up long enough to know who's loyal and who's just playing the game.
I built my network: six COs on my payroll and about five solid inmates from my pod. Joyner put me on to a few other dudes in other pods who he said were OHB soldiers and wanted in, so I trusted his word because he's shown me nothing but loyalty so far. It's all about that trust, and the moment I caught a whiff of doubt from someone, they were going to leave this prison on a stretcher.
In this game, loyalty is everything, and I never took betrayal lightly.
Rule #2 of Pushing Weight in Prison: Concealment.
With my COs in my pocket, we set up a deal: they moved Dominic's product only, exclusively for me. I wasn't about to let the Warden think he was running shit when, in reality, I always ran the show. It seemed like this nigga was desperate for the income, so he agreed to my terms without hesitation.
One day, the product comes in through the officers' lunches; the next, it's hidden in hygiene products or legal documents. Switching it up keeps the heat off us and gives us easy access whenever we need it. The more unpredictable we are, the harder it is for any opps to catch on.
Rule #3 of Pushing Weight in Prison: Distribution.
Next, one of the most important parts, we move this shit through this fucking prison system. I set up a tiered distribution network among the inmates. Joyner's at the top of the chain. He has life, so he's not going anywhere anytime soon, making him the perfect main point of contact.
I've got other inmates acting as suppliers and distributors, so nobody knows too much. Each inmate only knows their direct connect, which means if one of them gets caught, it doesn't lead back to me or anyone else but them. It's all about keeping the circle tight and any gaps closed.
Rule #4 of Pushing Weight in Prison: Pay the Fuck Up.
When collecting my money, I keep it clean and simple. I had Amarie round up a crew of doughboys to establish a rotating system for handling payments. We use money transfer services and prepaid debit cards to keep everything off the radar.
I set up several drop-off spots for cash payments, coordinating with the COs and my soldiers for seamless weekly transfers. My goal is to ensure every transaction is completely untraceable so nothing links to me. When they start digging for the money, they won't find a fucking thing. It's all about making it disappear like smoke, keeping my operation tight and out of reach.
