Chapter 3 - Adaptation is Key! Blood Falls!

Previously on Team Azure, a mysterious young Warlock named Shadow made his appearance unexpectedly within Azure Tower, having been displaced from his timeline and searching for his mother. Shadow revealed to Daisuke that he was relying on Team Azure to return home, given how they're the heroes and all of the multiverse and beyond it's higher dimensions.

After an unexpected skirmish between Shadow and Gavin, Daisuke disrupts the battle with a single ki blast and decides to take Shadow under his wing so that he may return Shadow to his original timeline. Gavin on the other hand felt apprehensive around Shadow, threatening to use his pressure points on him should he prove to be a villain. Turning toward Daisuke, Gavin wonders how pulling a "Batman and Robin" will be safe for his relationship with Juliet, Daisuke ponders for a moment, coming up with the perfect solution.

The next morning before Daisuke sought to his mini relationship mission, Shaldon attempted to gaze through Shadow's mind in order to search for his original timeline, unfortunately for Shaldon, he saw nothing but doom and gloom within that child's mind, no source whatsoever of where he came from. Requesting specific reagents scattered around Azeroth for a teleportation spell that brings others , Shaldon added onto Daisuke's quest log, that side mission had begun.

While tackling his side mission, Daisuke finally visited his girlfriend Juliet. The sight of Shadow triggered Juliet, she assumed Daisuke was cheating on her. Luckily, Shadow voiced his opinion and elaborated on how he was from another timeline and wanted to go back. Convinced in Daisuke (on the outside anyway), Juliet decided to tag along with Daisuke's mission and the three of them traveled around Azeroth to recover the reagents for Shaldon.

After the reagents were gathered, Daisuke had a little lover's quarrel with Juliet that resulted in her running away in fear of Daisuke's anger. Attempting to pursue her, Daisuke received a chilling message within his mind, to leave Juliet. Daisuke was no stranger to mental attacks, especially layered ones like that. Pushing through the attempted manipulation, a dark construct appeared from behind the tree and fought with Daisuke.

Juliet rejoined the scene and her and Daisuke patched things up quite quickly. Proclaiming his love for Juliet, Daisuke destroyed the shadowy monster with a single Cobalt Piercer, atomizing the monster. Afterwards, Shadow made a reappearance a bit too in synch with the monster's destruction, Juliet may or may not have seen through his troublemaking there. The three returned to New Suramar where Daisuke and Juliet had a brief intimate moment while Shadow ran into Azure Tower, their relationship was safe, nothing would stand in the way of their infinite love for one another.

Back in Azure Tower, Selina awfully recognized Shadow at first glance. Shadow was the one that invaded her dreams back in Chapter 1 and scared the daylights out of her, how he scared her? Well.... it's best not to ask Selina that question. Shadow was constantly claiming Selina was his mother which displeased her.

Fast forward and Leo attempts to persuade Shadow toward the side of good, unfortunately that heroic request to not harass Selina and seek (real) help from Team Azure was denied, Shadow attempted to strike at Leo with his magic infused fist only to be impaled by Daisuke's rigorous move, Deadly Throw.

While Shadow was down for the count, Daisuke was lectured by a ramrod Leo and his stereotypically heroic ideals that stemmed from being unaware of Shadow's physiology. Shortly after that lecture, Gavin provided context of Shadow being a Corrupt Deity that naturally regenerates on a conceptual scale toward Leo and his personality immediately changed from his usual heroic self to a more seriously vigilant lion that suggested for Team Azure to detain Shadow before he becomes a threat greater than Acheron himself.

After regenerating from Daisuke's Deadly Throw, a renewed Shadow breaks down his physical form, creeps up toward Selina faster than she can cast a Banish spell on him, and captures her within a cage of ooze. An overprotective Valentina faces off against Shadow.
