Previously on Team Azure, after the intergalactic cops known as the Omega Corps apprehended Daisuke and left the scene, Gavin woke up from his alleged death, wondering what happened while he was in the great beyond for a moment. Thanks to his pressure points, Gavin was able to modify the perception of Bloodmage, and make it seem as though his brain was being dissected with his spinning razors, the cosmetic stitches were the cherry on the sundae of Gavin's acting.
While Gavin observed the scene and questioned what went on, he noticed a pool of blood that contained Bloodmage's consciousness. Playing it safe with the 8 dimensional, omniscient, reality warping Matrix Kernel stave of his, Gavin sealed up the pool of blood within a 5 centimeter cube of data, with the compressed data cube by his side and cameras from the warehouse, Gavin returned to Azure Tower in order to extract footage for the synopsis of what went on during his temporary rest.
Team Azure however, was in a rude awakening as a group of protestors approached the outside of Azure Tower, the intentions of the protestors varied, some wanted their wishes granted, others just traveled to New Suramar to insult Team Azure, placing them underneath the Cyan Titans in heroism.
A confused Gavin is explained by Leo that while Gavin was in an ersatz state of death, Daisuke had been apprehended according to rumors, with the news of him killing Bloodmage spreading like a wildfire around the Multiverse thanks to a Hyena named Ultra, a member of the Cyan Titans. Unfortunately however, Leo was distraught over Ultra claiming he was greedy for not using the boundless Swirl of Paradiso Leo had been blessed with to grant miracles for the Multiverse.
Gavin was there for Leo, he assured him that he has a fair reason to not use the Swirl like that, to grant wishes for others is to have another wish denied after all, and without Leo's accomplishments, such as slaying the sinister Corrupt Deities striving for nonexistence in the world, being a champion of the radiant and nigh omnipotent Lost Deities, and inspiring a group of Priests known as The Sanctified, the Multiverse would not be around.
Now more confident than ever, Leo extracted Gavin's memory, by his request, in the form of a disc in order for Gavin to present evidence on Bloodmage being the one at fault and not Daisuke. This was the prelude for Gavin's plan to prove Team Azure and Daisuke's innocence....
In the central room of Azure Tower, the rest of the team observed the group of protestors below, each having a series of mixed reactions toward the lot of them. Shaldon was astounded yet annoyed by the amount of angry citizens assembled, crudely suggesting that he should use a temporary age reversal spell to show them how immature they all sound demanding things from Team Azure to which Valentina suggests not to strike back unless they do first, Selina and Hado detected a hint of rage within the emotions of the protestors, realizing that each citizen carried a wish that conflicted with the other, and last but not least, Daniel perceived the protestors as nothing but "whiner babies" and backed up Selina's point that if they want their every wishes, they should earn it.
After some brief banter, Gavin explains his plan to project the real footage of the interaction between Bloodmage, Daisuke, and him around the Multiverse. Selina, Shaldon, and Trixie would be in charge of projecting the footage around the Multiverse, while Hado, Leo, Valentina, and Daniel would be in charge of defending Gavin if anything troublesome emerges from the cameras he was hacking into.
Meanwhile, in another time and space, a sullen Daisuke had transferred elsewhere by the Omega Corps, and did not bother putting up a fight. Deep down, Daisuke was beating himself up over the fact he failed Gavin as a leader because of his death Daisuke did not know was merely an act. At the trial, the actions of the Cyan Titans had overshadowed the feats of Team Azure due to the fact the judge, The Arbitrator, had been more familiar with them rather than Team Azure. Outraged by this display of cronyism, Daisuke lashed out at The Arbitrator and sealed his fate, Daisuke would be mercilessly executed one week later.
