Chapter Four

The next morning Lex woke up to complete silence. She stretched and walked to the bathroom next door to Sam and Dean's room. She was happy that they had working water. She made a mentally note to see if the hot water was working so she could take a shower. She left the bathroom after doing her business and knocked on her brothers' door. Not getting an answer she walked back to her room throwing on jeans and a flannel over her tank top. She yawned making her way down the stairs. She sees all the males in the kitchen area. Dean had his back to her turned to the stove. "Morning." She mumbled out.

Jack stood and kissed her head pulling her to sit next to him. "I have good news." He cheered quietly. It's times like this she wished her boyfriend slept more than a few hours a night. In the mornings she can never keep up with his energy.

"Bubs. Your energy is at like 200 can you bring it down to like 50?" Lex yawns.

Jack, not able to calm down, bounces, turning to Dean with a big smile on the Nephilim's face. "Can I tell her Dean?"

Dean turns to his sister and she sees a plate of pancakes in his hand. He hands her the plate and she starts eating. "Go for it, Jack."

Jack's smile widens as he turns to Lex. "I'm moving my stuff to your room. Dean agreed to allow us to share a room." Lex's eyes widened and she saw Dean give her a soft smile. "I'll still be helping, Cas with research at night but when I do need to sleep I'll be with you, Lexie!"

Lex gives a small smile to the oldest Winchester. "Thanks for trusting us, Dean." Sam hands Lex a mug with coffee. "Pancakes? Coffee? Where did you get this stuff, guys?"

"A group of the people here gave us some supplies to make breakfast. I heard a knock and they said it was a welcome gift." Bobby said, taking a sip of his coffee. "It's been too long since I've had coffee."

The group talked some more laughing freely for the first time in what seems like forever. Lex moved with Jack to cuddle on the couch, still talking with their family. A soft knock is heard on the door. Lex stands and opens the door seeing the younger boy, he looks about 15, with a baby in a pink blanket. Lex smiles and leans against the door. "How can I help you?"

The boy blushes at the older girl, finding her attractive. "Sorry. I-I'm Carl. My dad, Rick, he asked me to check on you." Lex laughs as he blushes embarrassed. "Not-Not just you. Obviously! All of you. This is Judith. My sister." Lex smiles. "Um. I was wondering if you'd want to go get a tour later. I can cook us lunch at my house."

The nephilim's ears perked up. Lex's brothers' laughter was heard from the doorway. Dean's loud voice is heard. "Damn that kids got balls. Asked her out knowing her in less time then you Jack"

Lex rolled her eyes, she smiled at the teen, opening her mouth when she felt a hand on her waist and Jack's head on her shoulder. "I'd love it if you'd show us around. Would it be okay if my boyfriend here tagged along?" Lex smiles, gently letting the boy down without having to address him asking her out.

Carl's eyes widened at the larger male, nodding. "Sure. I didn't know you two were together."

Lex smiles. "Don't worry. Let us get our jackets from our room." Lex dragged the glaring nephilim up the stairs. "Don't worry, he's just a kid, Jackie."

Jack huffed as Lex handed him a jacket to wear, making him fit the human role. "He was flirting with you."

Lex kissed his cheek. "And a few years ago you wouldn't even be able to acknowledge what a flirt was, Babe." Lex rubbed his chest. "I only have eyes for you, my angel." Jack smiles at his girlfriend's nickname. "Now then. Let's get going, Nougat." Jack smiles even wider.

"I like nougat. You think we could find some?" Lex smiles and rubs his cheek.

Lex drags him behind her and smiles seeing Dean holding Judith. "Wow, Deano. Looks like you actually know what you're doing for once." Dean rolls his eyes and hands the baby back to Carl. "We'll be back." Lex, holding Jack's hand, walks out with the Grimes siblings. "So Carl, are you and Judith your dad's only kids?"
