Kou
Synopsis: He's picky already on where you go for dates but of all places you just had to pick the zoo. He fucking despises it. But why? Still he won't ever let you catch him not being himself his snarky self but that's what you love about him!"Penguins and Patience"

It was a mild, sunny afternoon, and you were practically buzzing with excitement. You had planned the perfect surprise date for your boyfriend, Kou, and couldn't wait to see his reaction. Though you had a hunch that his initial response would be far from thrilled — as was his way.
You and Kou walked hand-in-hand down the quiet street, and you couldn't help but glance at his brooding expression every so often. His dark eyes glinted with their usual impatience, and his snarky remarks had already started up.
"Where the hell are we going?" Kou grumbled, his hand tightening slightly around yours as if the mystery alone was already too much to bear.
You giggled, trying to keep the mood light. "It's a surprise! Just wait, okay?"
Kou shot you an unimpressed look, then sighed. "I'm already regretting this. Your hand's getting sweaty."
You laughed and let go of his hand, playfully wiping your palm on his sleeve. "Relax! We're almost there."
The two of you rounded the corner, and the large entrance to the zoo came into view. Kou's eyes narrowed immediately, as though he'd just been betrayed.
"A zoo?" His voice dripped with disdain. "Seriously? A zoo? What are we, four?"
"Come on, Kou! It'll be fun!" you insisted, grabbing his arm and pulling him toward the ticket booth. He stood his ground for a moment, planting his feet like an anchor, but you were determined. "Animals! Fresh air! Ice cream!"
"Tch." Kou let out a sharp, annoyed sound, but followed anyway, dragging his feet just to make a point. "I swear if we run into screaming kids, I'm out of here."
You grinned and held up the tickets triumphantly. "Too late! No turning back now."
The two of you entered the zoo, and immediately, you were entranced by the sights and sounds around you — the distant roars of lions, the fluttering of birds, the laughter of children. Kou, on the other hand, was more focused on glaring at anything that moved.
Despite his grumpiness, you were determined to make the best of the day. You eagerly dragged him from exhibit to exhibit, trying to take pictures with him in front of each one. Naturally, Kou protested every time you pulled out your phone.
"I look like an idiot," he muttered as you tried to get him to smile in front of the giraffes.
"No, you look cute!" you teased, snapping the photo despite his deep frown.
You tried again in front of the monkeys, the lions, even the sleepy sloth. Each time, Kou looked less and less impressed. His scowl was so consistent you couldn't tell if he was upset, tired, or just being his usual self. Probably all of the above.
"Let's take a break," you suggested after a while, noticing the tension in his shoulders. "I'll get us some ice cream."
Kou just grunted in response, finding a bench to collapse onto, arms crossed. He watched you as you trotted over to the nearby ice cream stand, his expression softening slightly, though he quickly reverted to his usual sour look the second you turned back toward him with two cones.
