"I don't know what you're talking about!" The first girl yelled angrily. "I fixed you! I-"
The second girl cut her off. "No." She said calmly. "You broke me. You shattered me into a million pieces, and left me alone to pick up what was left." Tears started to roll down her cheeks. "Do you even know what that feels like? To love somebody so much, and to think that they love you back just to find out that it was all a lie?" Her voice was strained with tears but she kept going. "Every 'I love you', every compliment, every word, was all. Just. Lies." She looked the first girl dead in the eye, straightening her back, and holding her head high. "But you can't even comprehend what that feels like because you've never loved anyone." She said, her face was stained with tears, and she had a look on her face that the first girl had never seen before.
Hatred.
The first girl was stunned.
And for once, she didn't have anything to say.
No snarky comment. No mean insult.
Just silence.
The second girl took a deep breath. "Look- I'm done with this. I'm done with you. It's like, even though we're not together anymore, I'm still chasing you.. I'm happy now. I have good friends, and a good boyfriend, and goals that you keep getting in the way of." She said, her voice sounding hollow and bitter.
They stood in silence for a while.
"You know, I really did love you." The second girl said.
She walked away.
Sorry.
