The door handles and the opens and I see a petite blonde girl come out and she gives an ugly stare when she sees me blocking her way. She has to be about a head shorter than me as I am 5'7.

"Move out of my way," she almost yells with her weird high-pitched voice that I feel like I know from somewhere but can't put a pin on.

I shift to the side right away and let her pass. I really don't need any stupid drama.

"Okay, so it's not him then?" King questions what we are all thinking, considering it was a girl who came out.

I go to turn back to Vinnie and Lizzie so I can ask more, but before I can another person comes out and it's a guy.

He is looking down as he is doing up the belt for his jeans and all I can see is his broad chest, muscular arms and fluffy hair.

The guy has a slight layer of sweat covering him and messy hair. Was he sleeping with her?

He finally looks up and I see the eyes that I have been yearning for so long.

Archer.

It's him, I could never forget those eyes.

After 11 years, my boy is standing in front of me.

He looks down at me with an unreadable expression and I find myself smiling as I speak up with a shaking voice, "Archer?"

"Yes?" His deep voice is stern. He is so tall, making him look down at me and I have to look up.

Does he not recognize me? I know it has been 11 years but he couldn't have forgotten me, there is no way.

"It's me, Mer," I hope he still remembers.

"Well yes, I know that. What do you want?" He continues his weirdly scary stare towards me.

Why is he acting like this? He can't act like our childhood just doesn't matter anymore.

"I'm so happy to see you. You never came back to meet me. I was always so worried. What happened? Are you okay?" I speak every sentence and question that comes to my head.

He just looks down at me with an unreadable expression and when I'm done all he says is, "I am okay and you look okay to me too. Our childhood is 11 years in the past and we should leave it there for the better."

What?

"Archer no, what do you mean?" My heart races as I hear him say those words. "We were inseparable, you can't just push it aside like it's nothing." He can't do this. I finally see him after 11 years and this is what he does?

He doesn't reply and pushes past me to get to Lizzie and Vinnie. He takes Azaria from Lizzie's arms and throws her up in the air. "Hi princess, your dress is so pretty," she laughs as she is in the air and the smile he gives her is the same crooked smile he had as a kid.

Fuck I missed him.

"What a douche. Is he the idiot you have been wasting your tears over?" King comes behind me and gives a comforting hold on my shoulder.

"I don't know who he is anymore," I just stare as Archer, Lizzie, and Vinnie are having their own conversations.

I can't look at him anymore. I open my dorm door and run inside and see King, Scar, and Wes follow behind me.

I run into the bedroom and just flop onto the nicely made bed and hug the pillow to my chest and quietly cry.

The others also come in and sit on the edges of the bed. "Please don't cry Mer, maybe give it some time. It's been a while since you last saw each other," Scar runs her hands through my hair and it feels nice.
