To my crush: Never hide your charming smile which stole my heart. 😍
...
Vanam yavum megham
Kadhal thoovum katril kooda kadhal vasam veesum
Kannil kanavaga nee karayathadi marayamalle
Nee nirpaya kalayadhadi marayamalle... Aa[The clouds — blanketing the entire sky — sprinkles love,
Even the atmosphere smells of love,
You reside in my eyes as my dream,
Will you stay by me without vanishing?]
Idhazgal poi sollume endral kooda nee solvaye
Imaygal mei sollume un paarvai pothume
Nenjam thadumaruthe nee than thevai en mayil irage
Konjam thadam maruthe nee en pathaye[You are the one who speaks, no matter if your lips lie,
Your gaze is enough; your eyes speak.
My peacock feather, you are my only need, and that's why my heart beats.
When I stumble in my path, you pave way for me.]
Yen kolgirai ennai kannale
Nee nirkirai ulle kal pole
Yen kolgirai ennai kannale
Nee nirkirai ulle kal pole...[Why are you killing me with your eyes,
My love,
You weigh heavily on my heart like a stone.]
The meaningful lyrics captured everyone's heart and the beautiful classical dance staged by the three damsels projected a heavenly sight. Sita owned the entire dance with her expressive eyes; she was professionally trained in bharatnatyam afterall. Radha and Priya added a touch of completeness to the entire segment mirroring Sita's movements in their own style. Shyam's eyes never left Sita as he glimpsed at her with admiration; it had been a while since he had witnessed her 'vintage' side.
On the other side, Ram dwelled in Radha's thoughts. A small smile coated his lips seeing her stumbling slightly with the posture. She wasn't that good in classical dance yet he couldn't help but gawk at her as if she's the world's best performer.
"Kolriye di!" he whispered looking at her. (You're killing me!)
"You're killing me by speaking these romantic dialogues," Shyam commented.
Ram glared at him. "Shut up!"
As the song culminated, the ending portion merged with a new beat; the trio paused in their initial position and Appadi Podu was played, inducing a vibrant aura. The guys started whistling and some in the back row started humming the song. Shyam himself nodded at the vibe and a sense of curiosity flooded his mind. He had never seen Sita dancing to such beats; it'd always been about carnatic and melodies. So the thought of her dancing to such a song kept him in the edge of his seat.
The stage was set on fire, as beheld by the spectators, and the girls tucked the loose end of their saree in their waistband. Radha winked at the audience, boldly and her body moved along the beats. Ram gasped seeing her and looked around. The guys were hooting and commenting about her 'drool-worthy' wink. Shyam couldn't hold his laughter at his friend's dismay and continued vibing to the song.
Radha took the centre spot and paired with both Priya and Sita. She lip-synced certain lyrics and Ram blushed, getting the meaning. Shyam rolled his eyes at their not so public display of affection.
