When Jungkook opened his eyes, the morning rays tickling his eyelids, he immediately closed them again, not wanting to face the harsh reality that was now weighing him down for the third day. However, as the last traces of sleep in him disappeared, memories of the previous day came back to him.

He sat up straight away, and the fear and sadness vanished as he recognised the outline of his bedroom. His bedroom. The one he shared with Taehyung. He was back. John had gone back to the United States, leaving him behind and giving Taehyung the address. What happened next was a bit of a blur to Jungkook, as it had taken him a while to realise that it hadn't all been a product of his imagination. Taehyung had taken him in his arms, showering him with kisses and not letting go until they returned. When they arrived, the whole of Bangtan was waiting for them, and he was treated to more hugs and kisses, accompanied by tears and laughter. He couldn't even remember when or how he fell asleep.

But that didn't matter. All that mattered was that he was home.

It didn't take him long to realise that he was alone in the bedroom. The other side of the bed was cold, which meant that Taehyung had already been up for a while. It was already too long. Jungkook didn't want to be separated from him any more. So he jumped out of bed and left the room in a hurry.

From the top of the stairs he heard his man's deep, steady voice, which became clearer and clearer as he went down the stairs. It wasn't until he reached the entrance to the kitchen that he finally caught sight of him.

There he was, hair still damp from his shower, black trousers moulding his thighs and buttocks to perfection (which Jungkook could never tire of observing), and a white shirt, under which he could make out his broad back. He was even sure that the man had left two buttons open, as usual, revealing a little more of his incredible, slightly tanned skin. Two days without seeing him, and the boy couldn't help detailing him like a work of art.

Taehyung had his back to him, deep in conversation on the phone. Jungkook didn't want to disturb him, so he approached discreetly, tiptoeing to make as little noise as possible. Apparently, the man hadn't noticed him yet.

"Hm, he's the one who contacted me. Yeah, I never thought I'd find Jungkook thanks to him. Yes, I called him, but I didn't expect much..."

He paused, listening to what the other person seemed to be saying.

"Thank you, I admit I'm completely lost on this one... Especially as he's likely to take action to get him back... I'm counting on you... Hm, keep me informed..."

Jungkook took the opportunity to walk behind him, sliding his hands up his torso and taking him in his arms. Taehyung jumped slightly, but his surprise was quickly swept away by a smile. He hung up quickly, then turned to lock the boy in his embrace. First he placed a kiss on his forehead, then his nose, and finally his lips, which he kissed long and passionately.

"Did you sleep well, baby?"

Jungkook nodded shyly, before burying his face in his chest. He had missed his smell. He felt so safe. Just thinking about those two days away from him, with the total uncertainty of ever seeing him again, brought tears to his eyes.

"I-I've missed you so much, hyungie..."

Taehyung felt his shirt get wet, and he hated it. He hated seeing his baby in such distress. This whole thing had thrown him for a loop, and it wasn't even over yet. Lim would surely be back to claim his due. He had to protect him. And give him back his smile, make sure it never disappeared again.

"Me too, my love... I won't let anything separate us again, I promise..."

They held each other in their arms for a few minutes. They needed this intimate moment to find themselves again. To calm their hearts.

Taehyung was the first to pull away, and didn't fail to place a gentle kiss on the younger boy's forehead. His touch was so tender that Jungkook's heart almost melted.

"Don't cry anymore, my love. You and me are forever. Aren't we?"

"Hm."

Taehyung gave one of those rare smiles that lit up the whole room, clearly contributing to global warming. Faced with such a smile, Jungkook could only imitate him.

"Well, let's put all that aside for the moment, shall we? Let's have a nice breakfast. Judging by the colour of your face, I'm sure you've hardly eaten anything in two days."

Jungkook looked away, clearly showing his guilt. Taehyung's smile was quickly wiped away, replaced by a mixture of sadness and anger.

"This isn't right. You need to eat properly, baby! Come on, Hyungie will feed you."

The man dropped into one of the kitchen chairs, facing the table on which was a hearty breakfast. Jungkook wanted to sit down next to him, but Taehyung wouldn't let him: he grabbed his wrist and pulled him towards him, making him sit on his lap. The man immediately put an arm around his waist, while his other hand was already grasping one of the buns, spread with jam.

"I'm making you eat. Don't think you can get rid of me so easily, sweetheart. You've been taken away from me for two days. I'm going to make up for lost time."

After breakfast, the two lovers opted to simply settle down on the sofa in the living room, Jungkook having taken refuge in Taehyung's arms, both wrapped up in a thick blanket. Neither of them spoke, content with the presence of the other, who had missed them so much over the last two days.

But even if they had finally found each other again, the story wasn't over yet. Problems were still hanging over their heads.

"What are we going to do, hyungie?" Jungkook asked timidly, his voice half-muffled by the plaid.

A hand slipped into his hair and the teenager almost purred under the tender caresses.

"You don't have to worry about that, my love. I'll take care of everything. I'm going to sort out that debt, okay?"

"But how? If my parents couldn't pay, then we clearly don't have the money... We'll never be able to repay this debt..."

Taehyung shook his head.

"I have no intention of giving that guy a dollar. He kidnapped my baby and I'm supposed to give him money so he won't do it again? Then you don't know Kim Taehyung. I don't submit to anyone, especially when my darling is involved..."

His hand moved from his hair to his cheek, and he forced the boy to raise his head towards him, looking into his eyes.

"I'm going to sort this out in my own way. And after that, I intend to finally marry you."
