TWENTY SIX

{Antara's POV}

"Paarth Bhaiya..."

As soon as Ranvijay ji dropped me off at my company and I got off, I saw a familiar figure of Paarth bhaiya sitting near the bench outside my company. I slowly walked up to him and he stand up.

"Antara.." Paarth bhaiya stand said as he faced me. "What are you doing here?" I asked. "This was the only way I could meet you, as I don't think Ranvijay would've appreciated me going to your house." Bhaiya said. "And what made you think I'll meet you?" I asked.

"Right. I know, you wouldn't want meet me." Bhaiya said. "Then why...why are you here?" I asked. "To give you this." Bhaiya said, taking out a pair of kangan, which belonged to my mother and was snatched by chachi.

"Yeh...yeh toh maa ka hai. Jo chachi ke pass tha...toh fir..." I looked up at him. "I know. But I thought when you got all your shares back, then this should go to you too as maa wanted to give you this." Bhaiya said and I frowned. "My shares...back? What do you mean?" I asked.

(These...these are mom's. That aunt took...then...)

"You don't know? All your shares, which were forcefully taken from you, are back to you. Ranvijay made sure of it." Bhaiya said and my eyes widen. "Ranvijay ji did that..." "He did. And I'm happy, he did." I looked at him.

"Honestly, after that day, at your outburst, I thought...I thought a lot. And you were right. I was supposed to be your and Aarav, both's, big brother, your superhero. But I failed. I failed at it, Antara. And I regret, but I'm not asking you to forgive me. Not at all. I know you won't forgive me and you shouldn't, because you're right. But maybe...sometime in your life, you'll forgive me."

Paarth bhaiya's words made me tear up but I composed myself as he give me maa's kangan and I took it with trembling hands, hugging it to my chest.

"It's yours now. Keep it with you. I know you'll take care of it. And...I'm sorry. I know it won't change anything but yeah. Also, Ranvijay is a good person. He'll keep you happy. Be happy always, Taru."

With that he put his hand on my head and started leaving with a sad smile. I, so, wanted to turn around and run behind him. To stop him, to forgive him but I can't. I remember all those times when he never took my stand and he never saved me from chachi.

Taking deep breaths, I put the kangan in my bag and went inside the company. I greeted the guards, receptionist and other employees before going towards my and Maahi's cabin.

"Hey, there, Tara! You know---hey what happened??" As soon as I saw, I hugged her, my tears finally flowing. "What happened, Tara? Did someone say something to you? Did Ranvijay do anything!?" I shake my head, pulling away from her.

"Paarth bhaiya came." Her eyes widen. "What did he said?" Maahi asked and I told her everything. "Oh, poor Tara." She hugged me and I hugged back. "It must be hard but be firm on your decision babe. They did wrong to you." I nodded.

"Then, that's it! And don't cry! If your Ranvijay got to know he will kill everyone!" She said and I chuckled. "Shut up!" After that we both laughed and went back to work.

The day went by working and chatting and soon it was time to go home. Antara sat on Maahi's scooty and both leave for Antara's home.

They were talking as Maahi drive when suddenly a bullet hit Maahi's back tier and scooty fell on the road and dragged on the road, injuring Antara and Maahi in process. Fortunately for them, they were wearing helmets which saved their heads.

A black car then drove by them and someone threw a rolled paper to them before driving away. Maahi and Antara groaned in pain. Maahi was the first one to sit up and went towards Antara.

"Tara, you ok?" Maahi asked. "I'm fine..Are you ok?" Antara asked. "Fine. What the fuck was that?" Maahi asked. "I don't know..." Antara said and then noticed the rolled paper and picked it up and opened it to read:

'Dear Ranvijay,
Today the bullet hit the tire, next time it won't be the tire...
So, be careful and keep your wife safe...'

Antara's blood run cold as she and Maahi look at each other. "We should show this to Ranvijay as soon as possible." Maahi said and Antara nodded. They both stood up helping each other and walked a little before getting a taxi and going to the hospital first to get their injuries treated.

They both had major scratches on their hands and legs. After getting treated, they went to Antara and Ranvijay's home. Ranvijay wasn't home yet, but the workers were shocked as they made both the ladies sit and give them water before one of them informed Ranvijay.

Soon enough, the front door opened harshly and in came an angry and worried Ranvijay, followed by Neil, he was the same as Ranvijay. Both immediately went to the girls on the couch.

"Aru! What happened, baby?! This...how?! Did you get it checked? Let me call the fucking doctors!" Ranvijay started taking his phone out when Antara stopped him. "Ranvijay, calm down. We get it checked. Calm down."

"How the fuck should I calm down when you're sitting here all hurt and injured!? Who the fuck did this?! What the fuck happened!?" Ranvijay yelled, eyes moving from Antara to Maahi. Antara bit her lips and passed him the paper, they were given.

Ranvijay and Neil read it and his eyes blazed with fire as he crumpled the paper in his hands. Neil looked angry as well.

"Ayaan fucking Rajvansh. I'll kill him! I'll fucking kill him!!" Neil stopped Ranvijay from leaving the house. "Stop Ranvijay, we need to think this thoroughly!" "No! I'll fucking kill him today, how dare he hurt her!?" Ranvijay tried to leave from Neil when Antara back hugged him.

"Stop, Ranvijay." Ranvijay stopped, taking deep breaths. "Stop, please. I need you, right now..." Antara said and Ranvijay sighed and turn around hugging Antara. "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. This is all because of me, baby. I'm sorry." Ranvijay said and Antara shake her head.

"It's not ur fault. Calm down." Ranvijay kissed her hair and carefully sit her down, sitting beside her. "I don't understand that how did he know Antara is your wife. I made sure to hide every single thing of hers." Neil said. "Somebody has betrayed us. That means someone close of us has done this."

"But who will do it?" Maahi asked. "Yeah." Antara said. "That's what we have to find. This is not the only thing. Our plans and our every single thing has been getting tracked." Ranvijay said. "We have to find this mole." Neil said. "As soon as possible. Because I won't let anything else happening to her, now." Ranvijay said.

"We have to make a plan to get this traitor..."
