Chapter:16 The War

Lord Dregg and the Triceretons had begun an invasion. There was a bloody war on Earth. The Earth's military forces were having a hard time fighting the aliens. But everyone, both soldiers and civilians, was trying to save the world. With Krang's orders, the Rock soldiers were successful in the war with advanced technology weapons and space vehicles. Gwen was hacking the computer systems of the enemy spaceships with FootTechs and thus neutralizing them. Then, the Mutant squad led by Rocksteady attacked the enemy forces which are neutralizing by Gwen and FootTechs. The Mutant squad was defeating the Triceratons and Lord Dregg's men. Tempestra was throwing the spaceships away like a paper with her telekinetic powers. The Rat King had taken control of all the rats in New York City. With the order given by the Rat King, the rats were gnawing on the Triceratons and Lord Dregg's men. The aliens were being eaten alive by the rats unit dying. The acid thrown by Scumbug was melting everything in front of it. Slash had no chance of survival for the alien that came before him, because he would swing his sword with his superhuman strength and cut his enemy in half. Cromdome was a war machine that was bulletproof and laser-proof. He would mercilessly destroy anyone who stood in his way. Leatherhead was a 9.84' tall mutant crocodile that would tear apart invaders and eat them if he was hungry. Among the mafia bosses that Shredder convinced to fight was Hun, the leader of the Purple Dragon gang. The men of the Purple Dragon gang were also hunting aliens with the high-tech laser weapons that Shredder provided them. The streets were covered in blood because of this fierce battle. There were bodies of people, Triceratons and Lord Dregg's men everywhere. The Triceratons preferred to take people captive instead of killing them unless they had to, because that was the reason they invaded the world.
Meanwhile, the turtles were fighting with all their might to save the world. Donatello had arranged the weapons in the Turtle Van and mounted the laser gun they took from Shredder on the Turtle Van. Casey Jones used a hockey stick in a face-to-face fight and used a bazooka to shoot down the invading spacecraft. One night, the turtles were patrolling to take out the aliens again. Michelangelo: I wish we could eat pizza. Leonardo: Mikey, we are at war and you are thinking of pizza? Raphael: Shut up, Mikey, I am so tired of your childish behavior. Donatello: Grow up, Mikey. Michelangelo was the most innocent and childish of the turtles. Because of this, he was often bullied by his brothers. Although Michelangelo forgave his brothers because he was pure-hearted, this situation bothered him. The person who was constantly yelled at and declared guilty was always Michelangelo. Master Splinter always scolded Michelangelo and took the side of his other brothers. That night, Michelangelo realized how tired he was of this situation. Why were his father and brothers really pushing Michelangelo so hard? This situation had to end. Michelangelo promised himself that night. He would prove to those who belittled and scolded him that he was a strong warrior. Yes, Michelangelo was growing up... While patrolling, they came across Triceretons. Triceretons were surprised to see them because they were not like ordinary people in the world. Turtles and Triceretons started to fight. Donatello shot at Triceretons from Turtles Van. In the meantime, Michelangelo, Raphael and Leonardo made a move towards them. Triceretons were neutralized before they could get their weapons. Leonardo cut off Triceretons' heads with the two katanas in his hand. Raphael stabbed Sai mercilessly and destroyed his opponent. Michelangelo was more ambitious and merciless than ever. He swung his Nunchucks quickly and knocked the enemy to the ground. Then, he strangled them with the chain of his Nunchucks. Meanwhile, Lord Dregg's men come to help and start shooting. Michelangelo makes a move to stop them, but he is shot and seriously injured.

Leonardo: Run Raph, we have to get to the Turtle Van.
Raphael: Mikey was shot.
Leonardo: He's very badly injured. He can't survive. We have to run.
Raphael: Don't be ridiculous, Leo, we won't leave him. Leonardo, Raphael slaps him.
Leonardo: Look, he's about to die anyway. Even if we take him to the sewers, he'll bleed to death. I can't lose you too, Raph, now come with me and get in the damn Turtle Van.

Raphael and Leonardo manage to reach the Turtle Van. Donatello was driving the vehicle. Donatello looks around.

Donatello: Where's Mikey? Raphael: Leo says he's dead.
Donatello: What!! This can't be!! Tears stream down Donatello's cheeks. Donatello drives the vehicle crying and they finally reach the Lair. Master Splinter greets them.

Splinter: Where's Michelangelo?

Donatello was still crying. Raphael sadly hangs his head. Leonardo steps forward.

Leonardo: He was badly injured in that fight. Even if we brought him here, he would have died. I couldn't risk the lives of my other brothers. Splinter: Did you leave him there, Leonardo!!
Leonardo: I wish it hadn't been like this, but he wasn't helpful anyway. Splinter: I can't believe you, Leonardo. Maybe I made a mistake choosing you as the Leader. How dare you talk about your brother like that.

Splinter slaps Leonardo and goes to his room. Leonardo falls to his knees and starts crying. Lord Dregg's men had left after shooting Michelangelo. Meanwhile, poor Michelangelo was lying on the ground covered in blood. He was in pain. He was starting to freeze from blood loss. Most importantly, his brothers hadn't come back for him. Michelangelo's eyes filled with tears. He said to himself "They left me here. They didn't come back for me. Michelangelo's strength was diminishing with each passing minute. He didn't have the strength to get up from the ground. Obviously his brothers and father weren't going to come back for him. He was waiting for death. Just when he was about to lose hope, he heard footsteps.
Michelangelo couldn't see who was coming, but he was filled with joy. Had his brothers come to save him?
