Chapter 7

While the bank robbery went smoothly, the escape was a tough one since the Saviors were apparently waiting for us to rob that bank because as soon as we got out again, shots were fired at us from every goddamn direction.

We managed to fend them off for long enough to get all the caps into the trunk of our car before we left the town in a hurry but sadly, the car took too much damage for us to continue driving with it.

We had to ditch the car and carry the two strongboxes with caps on our own until we robbed a nearby stable to steal some horses that got us back to the camp where our relieved gang members greeted us.

Ellie immediately ran into our tent to see if JJ was alright while Zack approached us with a smirk while clapping his hands.

Zack: Took care of the weapons, got the caps, and brought us some new horses, if that isn't a perfect mission, huh?

Kenny: We almost died back at that fucking bank! Those Saviors knew that we were coming for the caps!

Zack: What can I say? Maybe the Saviors are smarter than they look...or maybe we've just gotten a little too predictable. Anyway, Lilly and Jane burned down the biggest farm of the Saviors in this area, so maybe they just got pissed off and placed their men everywhere. I hope you killed as many of them as you could?

Y/N: We did, but our ammo is running out.

Zack: That ain't a problem, we got enough ammo to kill thousands of Saviors...and Walkers!

Lee: Walkers ain't the problem no more. The Saviors are getting really pissed off at us.

Zack: Are they? I just received a call for peace.

Y/N: What?

Kenny: That's bullshit.

Lee: You received a what?

Zack: A fine written letter where they were asking for a ceasefire.

Y/N: It's a trap. It's gotta be.

Zack: Maybe it is...or maybe they realized how many men and resources they've lost in the past few weeks and are now reconsidering if they truly want a war with us.

Kenny: So, how are we going to respond?

Zack: We're gonna meet up, obviously prepared because I don't fully trust them. Danny! Get over here!

Danny: What is it, Boss?

He asked as he came up running to Zack.

Zack: You're coming with us.

Danny: Where are we going?

Zack: To a town a bit further away. We're gonna discuss a ceasefire, ain't we, boys?

Steve: Looks like it...sadly.

Zack: Don't worry too much Steve, you'll have your chance to fuck them up. We just all need a break from the fighting.

Arrow: I'm coming with you.

Zack: Arrow! There you are!

Arrow: So they want a ceasefire all of a sudden now?

Zack: Yes, they do. Have you scouted the mansion that I told you to scout?

Arrow: Three inhabitants. A father and two sons, shouldn't be much of an issue to throw them out.

Y/N: What are you talking about?

Zack: I saw some Saviors sniffing around our camp, so I sent out Arrow to look for a new place for us to stay.

Kenny: We'll move again?

Zack: We will, for the last time hopefully. But that won't be permanent, just for a few days to see if the Saviors will attack our camp or not.
