On the contrary, Yoongi sat on the futon, frowning deeply, while Jimin diligently mashed herbs to prepare a medicinal drink.
Despite the persistent pain from his wound, The Guard found solace in the presence of the crown prince. Jimin poured the concoction into a wooden bowl and handed it to his beloved.
"Okay, it's time to drink the herbs," he opined gently.
Yoongi's features twisted in disgust as he pushed the bowl away. "No, I am not going to drink it, my prince. The medicine tastes sour,"
the royal guard protested, turning his face away from his love.LJimin bit his lip to suppress a smile, amused by this rare display of childishness from the usually stoic guard.
Sliding closer, he softly grasped Yoongi's jaw, turning his face towards him.
"Yoongi, you need to be healthy for the long journey ahead. The distance between Elsiye and Goryeo is not a mere five hours. Drink it, darling,"
Jimin coaxed, his eyes tender.
But Yoongi remained stubborn, shaking his head. "No, I can drink anything, even liquor, but not this. It's too sour," he complained again.
Jimin sighed, a tinge of irritation creeping into his chest. It wasn't Yoongi's childish behavior that bothered him-he found this side of the older endearing.
but his concern for Yoongi's health outweighed everything. His features grew solemn. "Are you sure you won't drink it?" Jimin asked, his eyes boring into Yoongi's.
The guard, mischievous as ever, nodded, arms crossed over his bare chest, his shoulder wound still unhealed.
Jimin inhaled sharply, his cheeks flushing with a mix of frustration and concern. "Okay, don't regret it," he muttered, placing the bowl on the floor.
He stood and walked towards the small attached bathroom, grabbing his night attire and ignoring Yoongi.
The royal guard blinked, taken aback by Jimin's demeanor. Guilt gnawed at him for teasing the prince.
He sighed and lay there, still refusing to drink the herbal soup.
Outside, the night creatures sang in the dense, dark forest. The moon gleamed over the treetops, and stars twinkled in the sky. February would end tomorrow, and March would begin.
The silence was too much for Yoongi. Only the sound of water splashing reached his ears.
Through the paper door of the hanok, Yoongi could see Jimin's shadow, his divine figure outlined by the dim light.
His long black hair cascaded down as he washed it himself. Yoongi swallowed hard, feeling a sudden heat. He quickly turned away, deeming it inappropriate to watch.
After five more minutes, the door opened, drawing Yoongi's attention. He quickly turned to apologize. "My prince, I-" His words trailed off, witnessing the sight before him.
In the dim glow of the lanterns, Prince Jimin emerged from the bath, his presence a vision of ethereal beauty.
Clad in a long, flowing robe of the finest silk, the fabric clung to his damp skin, accentuating the graceful curves of his form.
The robe, parted slightly at the front, revealed glimpses of his milky thighs, a tantalizing sight that left the guard breathless.
His eyes widened, his breath caught in his throat as he beheld the delicate V-line cut of the prince's robe, which offered a fleeting view of his chest, the soft rise and fall of his collarbone illuminated by the gentle yellow light.
