Y/N pov ;
Me, Oliwia and team Z woke up early today. It was the day of our second match. We ate breakfast together and right after, we decided to think about a strategy for the game.
Team Z was supposed to play against team Y. We made our way to our shared room to discuss how we could win the game.
- So, what should our strategy be?
- Each player must learn how to utilize their weapon to the fullest. Our tactic will be to avoid having a chaotic and self-centered playstyle. Each of us will have 10 minutes to be the main striker and display their weapon. I'm calling the strategy ‚I'm the next 9' tactic!
- Nice idea Kuon...But the name is lame.
- Yeah, it sucks!
- H-Hey! I tried my best!
- It's okay Kuon, at least the tactic is good.
- Thanks Y/N...At least you aren't mean to me right now.
- No problem.
- Also, team Y is in the same position as us. If they lose this match, they will be up for elimination, same goes for us. We should watch out for Hibiki Okawa, rank 254. He could be quite a handful.
- Okay, we got it. Let's do our best when the match comes!
- YEAH!
After we finished our meeting, team Z went to have a training session before the time for their match against team Y.
While they were working out, me and Oliwia sat together at the cafeteria and talked about the matters of the upcoming match.
- So, what do you think are our chances in winning the match?
- Honestly, I think we have some chances of winning even though we don't know anything about team's Y tactic.
- I had a feeling you would say that.
- See, you already know me too well, Y/N!
- Well, what can I say? I'm a fast learner I guess!
We laughed together for a while, joking around and telling each other about our lives and other stuff like that before the guys barged into the cafeteria.
They were all tired from training, and hungry too. They all got their food and sat down to eat. Isagi, as always, was complaining about getting natto to eat.

After everyone ate and cleaned up after them, team Z made their way to the field while me and Oliwia went to the monitoring room.
I couldn't help but be a bit nervous about the game. The two of us sat down, ready to see how the game is going to go.
- This is like gambling. You have to put your all on something and take a risk even if you might lose everything. But at the same time, you can win double the amount.
I was slightly taken aback when Oliwia said that. I never thought she was going to say anything like that. Was she into gambling?
- Like gambling, you say?
- Yeah. I like playing gambling games on my computer with my friends. Helps me get through the boring lessons at school.
- I see.
Just then, the monitors turned on. I was eager to see how the game comes out. I had high hopes for our tactic to work.

My eyes widened when I saw the results of the match. Team Z won 1-2! We won! I couldn't help but smile. Thanks to Isagi's last goal, we made it. We managed to win against team Y.
I took a quick glance at Oliwia, noticing her smiling as well. I was proud of my team. We won our first match at Blue Lock after all.
Oliwia was right, it really was like gambling. And we won. Kuon's tactic worked perfectly. Oliwia and I left the monitoring room. It was time for a celebration of our first ever win!
